Show Hatch News By Mayall Sawyer 801-735-4391 Bill and Caroline Doughty held their family reunion last week. Those in attendance were: Mr. and Mrs. William Doughty Jr. and family of Stockton, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Chris Doughty of Massachusetts; Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Ste-phen Doughty of Fremont, Calif; Eric and Liz Ottesen and family, Poway, Calif; Bryan and Susan Richardsen and family of Guatemala; Guate-mala; and Craig "and Kim Sim-merman Sim-merman and daughter of Michigan. Michi-gan. All of their children and 18 grandchildren were also present. The E.J. and Julia Turek reunion reun-ion was held last week here in Hatch. Out-of-town family members mem-bers present were: the Blake Turek family; Tracy Turek and Ilene Turek of Alpine; the Mike Turek and Chris Turek families of Las Vegas, Nev.; Mr. and Mrs. David Wynn and family of Long-mont, Long-mont, Colo.; Ryan Turek; the Wynn Turek family, Washington City; the Brent Turek family of Cedar City; and Ed and Lola j Turek, Las Vegas, Nev. Lee and Rosemary Porter of j Orem were here for the weekend. I , Those visiting Trudy Fagg dur- ing the past week were: Mr. and Mrs. Gary Fagg and family of Las Vegas, Nev.; Omega Campbell of St. George; and Russell and Yvonne Wilson, St. George. Calvin and Ruth Wilson were happy to have the Will Lane family fam-ily of Page, Ariz, here for the holidays. Carl and LaPreal Wilson and family of St. George enjoyed the July 4 holiday by visiting friends and family and staying at Wilson Canyon. Visiting with Cal and Carol Burrows during the past week were: Kay and Reva Alexander of Salt Lake City; Phil Burrows of Panguitch; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Butt rows, Ogden. Kurt and Phllis Sawyer and family of Mesquite, Nev., visited May Sawyer and son Brett of Virgin Vir-gin Valley. Brett's baseball team, played in Beaver. The family all enjoyed cheering the team to victory vic-tory of Panguitch and Beaver. Other visitors were Valeene Roberts and Gannon Roberts of Andmony. The Craig Barney family and the Scott Walter family enjoyed an outing at Lagoon last week. Scott and Jill Walter went to Beaver to watch their sons Jade Walter and Joel Walter play in the All-Stars baseball games. Don and Janice Ross and family fam-ily of Boulder City, Nev., visited Leland and Adell Riggs. Other visitors were Karl and Bonnie Saxon and Sarah Saxon of Las Vegas, Nev. Joni Nelson, Maggie Burrows and Bethany Comp were given special recognition for their achievements at the LDS Young Women's Girls Camp. (See Hatch News on Page 6-A) Hatch News From Page 2-A Rick and Sharron Sawyer, and Travis and Trisha Sawyer enjoyed a trip to Ohio, combining business with vacation. They were gone for two weeks. Lynn and Noreen Evans of Washington were here at their home for a few days. The Deloy Evans family of Hurricane brought them out and all enjoyed getting cooled off. LaVal and Carla Sawyer went to Salt Lake City to visit their children combining business with pleasure. Estella Riggs had a lovely visit with some of her family members last week: John and Lois Riggs, Layton; Less and Dene Foote, Salt Lake City; the Earl Riggs family; Devard and Donna Riggs, Salt Lake City and all with extended family members, mem-bers, enjoying the beauty of our area at their cabins. Darol and Beth Allred visited with Lyle and Ann Allred and family of Washington City and also attended an LDS temple session. ses-sion. Mr. and Mrs. Dallis Barnhurst of Kanab visited here with Merlin and Jean Barnhurst. Visiting Shirley Wilhelm were Paul and Shauna Hatch and daughter Shilo Hatch of Pan-guitch Pan-guitch and Kenny and Monica Bronson of Cedar City. May Sawyer visited in Antimony Anti-mony on Tuesday with Ken and Valeene Roberts and all of their family, except grandson Riley who is in the Missionary Training Center, waiting to go to Zimbabwe. |
