Show Sixth District Court Actions PANGUITCH Several cases were heard in Sixth District Court last Thursday by Judge K.L. Mclff. Jacob Sudberry, 22, of Las Vegas Ve-gas phoned in to the court to discuss dis-cuss his case with Public Defender Floyd Holm and Judge Mclff. He was originally charged with aggravated aggra-vated assault, a third degree felony; illegal possession of a dangerous weapon, a third degree felony; and damage to or interrup-tion of a communication device, a class B misdemeanor. A prelimin-ary hearing hear-ing was set for June 10. Kevin Dalton, 36, of Panguitch, was brought before Judge Mclff for an initial appearance, charged with a third degree felony of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, a third offense; driving with a revoked or suspended license and driving with no insurance, both class B misdemeanors; and speeding, disorderly disor-derly conduct, and intoxication, all class C misdemeanors. Dalton, was awarded a public defender and a preliminary pre-liminary hearing was scheduled for June 10. Jamison Culley, 29, of Salt Lake City was transported from the Uintah Unit in a Draper prison to answer to probation violations. He was charged with 18 violations and admitted to failing to report to his probation officer from October 1997 until present; failing to pay a fine of $1,156.25 at $60 per month to the court system; failing to produce pro-duce documentation as to his employment em-ployment status from September 1997; failing to obtain substance abuse counseling from July 1997 until the present; failing to report to the Department of Vocation Rehabilitation; Re-habilitation; operating a clandestine clandes-tine methamphetamine laboratory in Salt Lake County in September 1998; and operating a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory in r Salt Lake County in November 1998. He was originally charged with attempting to elude a police officer, a third degree felony. He was then put on probation. Judge Mclff sentenced Culley to 0-5 years in the prison, which will run concurrent con-current with the current sentence he is serving in Draper, and two 1-15 year sentences for operation of a clandestine meth lab in Salt Lake County, which were second degree felonies. David Douglas Hunsaker, 21, of Tropic, was in court on an initial appearance, charged with a third degree felony of wanton destruction of protected wildlife; two class A misdemeanors of wanton destruction destruc-tion of protected wildlife; a third degree felony charge of retaliation against a witness and a class A misdemeanor charge of assault. Hunsaker was awarded a public defender and a preliminary hearing was set for June 10. |
