Show firgq Obituaries Joseph M. Morgan CIRCLEVILLE Our beloved belov-ed father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Joseph Moroni Morgan 76, died May 23, 1997 from complications due to a stroke. He was born May 31, 1920, in Circleville, Utah, son of Joseph Dennis Morgan and Maggie Peterson Morgan. He married Geraldine Brinker-hoff Brinker-hoff in 1947; they were later divorced. Joseph is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Russel and Lee Ann Douglas and and their five children: Russel Seth (Rusty), Caitlin Christine, Brenna Nicole, Savanna Rae, and Shayanna Jo, Vernal, Utah. He is also survived by a brother Rodney Morgan, Monroe, Utah; and a loving and caring extended family both near and far. He was preceeded in death by his parents Dennis and Maggie, sisters Ester and Arlene, brothers LeRoy and Earl, and daughter Maryn Jo. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served his country with honor in the U.S. Army during world War JI while stationed in the Philippines. Joseph was an airplane mechanic for Lockheed Aircraft in Burbank, California from 1941 to 1984. He retired and moved back to Circleville and built his dream home. Due to his extended health problems, in December of 1994 he moved to Vernal to live with his son and family. I l1 Joseph M. Morgan Joseph had a love for Circle Valley, watching old TV westerns, basketball games, reading Louie L' Amour novels, but most of all, his grandchildren. We love, you grandpa, and we will miss you. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 2, 1997, at 1 p.m. in the Circleville LDS Ward chapel where friends may call Monday morning from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be with Military Rites by the V.F.W Piute Post 7561 in the Circleville Cemetery. Lola Rhodes Zenz ESCALANTE Lola Rhodes Zenz, age 88, passed away on May 24, 1997 at the Dixie Regional Medical Center, in St. George, Utah. She was born on Feb. 6, 1909 in Ammon, Ida. to Joseph Franklin and Chestie Christine Dahle Rhodes. She married John Virgil Zenz on Feb. 7, 1925 in Los Angeles, Calif. He passed away on Oct. 18, 1969. Lola was born and raised on a farm in Ammon, Ida. When she was 14 years old, she moved to Los Angeles where she married John Virgil Zenz in 1925. In 1942 they moved to Bountiful, Utah where he was a mechanic for Streeter Chevrolet. Iq 1947, they moved to Escalante, Utah and owned a garage and the Zenz Rock Shop. She served as a Community Nurse and delivered babies in Escalante. She was also Justice of the Peace in Escalante for three years. Survivors include a daughter Marjie Lee Spencer of Escalante, Utah; a son Donald John Zenz of Sparks, Nev.; 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-granchildren, and a brother-in-law and sister Lee and Margie Rhodes Mortimer of Susan ville, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband John Virgil Zenz, and a son William F. Zenz.
