Show Hatch News" By May Sawyer 735-4391 Seven Hatch LDS Ward members joined many other ladies la-dies from the Panguitch LDS Stake Relief Society temple day on Saturday at the St. George Temple. Attending were Lorna Barnhurst, Dorothy Barney, Janett Young, Shirley Wilhelm, Trudy Fagg, Floriene Barney and May Sawyer. On Sunday, Rick Sawyer was released as executive secretary of the Hatch Ward and Vic Gordon (See Hatch News On Page 4-A) Hatch News From Page 2-A was released as 1st counselor in the bishopric. Rick Sawyer was sustained as 1st counselor in the bishopric and Mike Bailey was sustained as executive secretary. Rick and Ireta Tubbs of St. George were in Hatch for the weekend. They mowed the lawns and cleaned the yard at the Lynn and Noreen Evanses. They report that the Evanses are at home, feeling much better after having been ill. Cal and Carol Burrows went to Kanab to visit their children. Carol will stay for awhile and help. Shannon Clark of Kanab visited vis-ited with Darol and Beth Allred Thursday. Darol and Beth went to visit Jody and Brooke Allred and children last week. They attended at-tended the Mormon Tabernacle Choir performance at Snow College Col-lege while they were there. Kerry and Elaine Sawyer spent Sunday afternoon visiting May Sawyer. They all went out to lunch to celebrate Kerry's birthday. birth-day. Visitors at Rick and Sharon Sawyer's home over the weekend were Nile and Violet Sawyer of St. George, and John and Linda Davis, Megan Weisen, Nicole Davis, 1 Brandon Davis, Sherri Angel and Zoey Davis, all of Murray. Ralph and Edith Marchant of Salt Lake City visited Calvina and Ruth Wilson. Calvin Wilson and Garth Heap attended the auction auc-tion this past week. A lot of hustle and bustle has been going on at the home of Clif and Ann Rives. Clifton and Chad Rives, Mason Wright, David Alleman, Devin Alleman and Drew Alleman, all of Las Vegas, have been fixing the porch and making other nice improvements. improve-ments. Jean Barnhurst of Kanab stopped for a visit enroute to Salt lake City. Karl Lowder returned to Washington City after spending 10 days watering and, mowing. The Jim Andersons of Page, Ariz., are back for the summer. Cassie Mack returned to California Cali-fornia due to her uncle's illness. Visiting Garth Heap the past week were Jeff and Jill Heap and Wallace and Marilyn Heap, all of Cedar City. Stella Riggs and Ilene Foote OJt.Sjjlt I.a-ke City aie here for a few days. Ada Nordell and Julia Turek of Washington City are here at their home for the summer. The traffic is being stopped for short delays in our town due to highway repairs You might not think that's a bad thing, but Hatch 'isn't that long and it halts all movement for half the town. We're happy to get the repairs made, so we can stand the inconvenience! |
