They are the Winifred Ivers family. His family will be moving into the Barbara Schmidt house soon up in Antimony Canyon. Phil and Billie Allen are in Provo visiting with their daughter on son-in-law Tracy and Scott Peterson Pe-terson and keeping his doctor appointments. ap-pointments. Van and Betty Wiley traveled to American Fork to be with the Raymond Henries for Tianna and --; Gavin Phillips' wedding in' the Mt. Timpanogas LDS Temple on Friday. Fri-day. Jones and DeMille Engineering have been in town doing some private pri-vate surveying. The new house being built at the Little Meadows Estates has the walls about up. We will be glad to have another family there. This one will total five houses there. Eric and Claudia Degler and boys will be moving from Kingston King-ston back here. They will be living in the former Del Moore house at Otter Creek Dam. Koami and Wayne DeLange were in town on Sunday visiting with friends and Koami tells us her mom, Beatrice, who isn't doing too well, is in the Richfield Care Center Cen-ter now. Tom Ricketts of Las Vegas, Nev., brought some of his Scouts up here to go up on the mountain on ATV's and ran out of gas, not realizing how much gas it took to drive around the world. They had gas brought up to them and all returned re-turned home safely. June 15 is the special day to move cattle up on the east side preparatory pre-paratory to going on up higher later. A large herd of sheep passed through Antimony Tuesday morning morn-ing on their way up to the mountain moun-tain pastures for the summer. We hear of a report of a 11-pound 11-pound trout caught out of Otter Creek Lake. This should encourage fishermen to come and try their luck! Tom Wiley attended the State Republican Convention in Ogden as a State delegate from Piute County on Saturday. Newell and Shirley Riddle were here on Memorial Day. They have retired and now live in St. George. I visited a few minutes with former resident of Antimony, Geneva Ge-neva Langford and her two daughters daugh-ters Naomi and Leola Rae, who were here to decorate graves on Saturday. Sat-urday. The cemetery really looked good and the 11 flags put on the outside fence to wave in the breeze also helped a lot and the newly painted white crosses painted by the LDS Young Mens group added the finishing touch. I understand that the county law enforcement is going to patrol our highway to help keep the ATV's at a reasonable speed as they travel the highway through town. Hopefully we will all try to help this situa- (See ANTIMONY on page 3-A) ANTIMONY From page 2-A tion. Our little town has lots of little children running freely up and down the town streets on foot or on bikes! Parents please watch your children and caution them as we have lots of travel during the summer, sum-mer, as well as hay rides, stage coach rides and trail rides for guests at the Rockin' R and tour buses in and out. Caution your little ones and know where they are! Many strangers are going through our town now. |
