Show 4-H Citizenship TROPIC The 4-H Citizenship Citizen-ship Club received a letter from the National Safety Council announcing an-nouncing a national recognition for the club's involvement in a community safety project. "The Awards and Recognition Recogni-tion Committee of the Youth Activities Ac-tivities Division proudly awarded the 4-H Citizenship Club the Award of Commendation to club members for their outstanding contribution for their project that promotes safety. The club will be receiving the bronze plaque in recognition of their project because of their "contribution toward the prevetion of accidents and the advancement of safety and health issues that effect our nation's youth," according ac-cording to Carole Huybrecht, Coordinator Co-ordinator of the national program. The 4H club received Community Pride Grant seed money from Chevron, Inc. to assist the Bryce Valley PTSO's school and community project of making graduation night drug and alcohol free, which promoted safety in the community. Members of the club will have the opportunity to attend the awarding of the plaque during the week-long National Safety Council's Coun-cil's annual Youth Safety Congress Con-gress in Chcago, 111., in the fall of this year. Members of the local 4-H Citrizenship Club include 4-H members are John Shakespear, Paul Shakespear, and Triessa Ramsay of Tropic, Daniel Thompson, Thomp-son, Britten Twitchell, and Cherlynn Twitchell of Cannon-ville, Cannon-ville, and Taryn Piatt of Henrie-ville.
