Show L Gngoitch Hgws By Mamie Talbot 676-8084 A huge flock of starlings swirled over the valley on their way to finding their winter playground. The young goose hunters are waiting anxiously for the geese to get here for hunting season. We were surprised by snow Sunday morning. John N. Henrie was here at mom, Mary Henrie' s to take her to Salt Lake City for Thanksgiving. In the Panguitch LDS 2nd Ward, Elder Heath Hatch gave his Texas, Houston mission report in the dark, as the power went out. The church was packed by all the family and friends there to welcome him home. Donny Leach was called to be the scout leader over the 11-year-olds. Mark and Mary Ellen De-Long De-Long Butterworth were here from California to have their baby son, Matthew DeLong Butterworth, blessed by Mary Ellen's childhood friend, Jason Orton. Grandma Elaine DeLong was there, proud and happy. In the Panguitch LDS 3rd Ward, youth speakers were Amanda Cooper Coo-per and Jordan Pelton. Stake speakers were Karla Owens and Clark Howard. Kerri, Rebecca and Sami Cooper and Carla Gillins were around town doing Jehovah's Witness missionary mission-ary work. Willy and Ginny Dunham's new house near Joe Black's is nearly ready to move in to. The other new house nearby now has a foundation. The historic old Reid home near Scott Christensen's Panguitch Supply store has a large new porch on two sides. It certainly makes a beautiful house. Juanita Talbot went to Orem to be with her daughter, Marveline Colby's family for Thanksgiving. Tony and Linda Talbot Wright picked her up and delivered her to the Colby home. Verl and Elaine Matthews had several of their kids home for the holidays, as did Kent and Donna Osborn. Dennis and Karen Talbot Williams Wil-liams and kids Aaron, Seth and Kellie spent Thanksgiving with Mamie Talbot. The family worked at tearing down an old chicken coop which will be used by Alan Talbot to build a hay shed in Enoch. C-Results Company is topping many of the tall trees around town. The limbs are then cut into stove-lengths stove-lengths and piled around the tree trunks for folks to use for the very cold weather we are having right now. The wind in the day time makes it very cold also. The Panguitch LDS 2nd and 3rd Ward choirs are practicing for a combined Christmas program to be held on December 19. |
