Show By LeNora LeFevre Darwin and Flora Peterson stayed a short time at their home in Boulder. They were returning to Salt Lake City after touring parts of Old Mexico and visiting with Garth and Lois Peterson, who spent the winter in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. Hebcr Hall and Richard Hansen came Feb. 16 for the long weekend. On Feb. 16, Mac and LeNora LeFevre LeFe-vre accompanied them on the beautiful beau-tiful drive over the Burr Trail Road through Long Canyon, the Velvet Hills and on out to the Capital Reef National Monument Park. The oil road ended at the entrance en-trance of the park. At the head of the switchback road in the park, there is a table and it was there that we ate lunch before returning home. Sue Bassett and Sherrie Luke, Salt Lake City, drove over the Bun-Trail Bun-Trail road, down the switchback road onto the Sandy Ranch, through Notom and back home over the mountain road. On Sunday, Heber Hall, Richard Hansen, Mac and LeNora LeFevre went to Tropic to see E. R. and Dixie Shakespear and Norm and Clella Littlefield. Dixie, Norm and Clella joined Mac and LeNora LeFevre for dinner at The Pines, after which some of the group went to Bryce Canyon National Park to Look Out and Inspiration Points, where the weather was bitterly bit-terly cold and there was still snow among the trees. A large crowd attended the wedding reception for Brian and Amee Roundy held at the LDS church house on Feb 16. The young couple received many lovely gifts. Karon Roundy, Manti, came for the reception. Jack and Melissa Lyman spent the weekend at their Boulder home. Dorothy Lyman accompanied Sherrie Luke to Salt Lake City and stayed for a week. Arthur Nettle-ship, Nettle-ship, her father and LDS Church Patriarch, celebrated his 90th birthday. Attending the party, at which the guest of honor sang, were Ivan Lyman, Arthur and Julie Lyman and Gladys Lefevre. Neta Poulson returned home after having spent time with the Sherrill Alveys, Lehi, the Donald Morgan family and the Elvon Poulsons of West Valley. Max and Veda Behunin's grandson, grand-son, Scott McDonald, was honored with the highest Duty to God Award at the Dallas LDS Church. Wesley Roundy came to see his mother Elaine Roundy. He had been skiing at Snow Bird Resort with his sisters, Claudia Roundy and Roberta Roundy. Jay and Ora Keel, Price, were at the home in Boulder. Kevin O'Connell is back from LaVerkin to spend the summer months. Bill and Pearl Wells have been in Farmington New Nex. visiting with their son. They also made a trip to Hanksville. Pole Griffin, accompanied by his daughter and son-in-law, arrived ar-rived with a trailer house for Pole to live in while he's getting ready to open the Griffin Drive-In Cafe. Sue Bassett's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bassett, San Diego, Calif., stayed a week with her. While here, they sponsored a sing-along sing-along for the public at the school. It was a huge success. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Harsh are building a house southeast of the Burns Ormond place. The basement base-ment is almost finished. Bill and Ada Cox spent a week in Phoenix, Ariz. LeFair Hall returned from a two-week trip to Virginia. En-route En-route he met his wife, Vickie Hall, who is in the Air Force Reserves, at Nashville, Tenn. They toured, by bus, the interesting places in that area before going to Washington Washing-ton D.C. to do some more serious sightseeing. They then went back to Virginia, where Vickie is stationed, sta-tioned, and visited with daughter, Tammy Wallace, and grandbaby, Amanda Wallace. LeFair Hall traveled through 10 states on his journey, which covered 5003 miles, and arrived home safely. Mark Jepsen took his son, Blake Jepsen, to Salt Lake City to see the Monster Truck Show. |
