EHS Senior Gains Career Experience In BLM Job , ESCALANTE - Escalante High School senior Trisha Barney is working with the Bureau of Land Management's Escalante Resource Area under a new program called "Youth Tryout Employment." Under the Five County Association Associ-ation of Governments-sponsored program, selected high school students stu-dents are provided an opportunity to learn from actual working situations. Trisha's work experience at the BLM office includes filing, map work, working with computers and field work in range management and recreation programs. She has lived in Escalante for 17 years and is on the high school drill team. After graduation, she will attend Sevier Valley Tech where she plans to study computer programming and child development. She is the daughter of Gerald and Carol Barney. |
