Show Antimony Hews By Betty Wiley 624-3215 At the Breed Bull Sale in Fallon, Nev., Phil Allen had one bull that was the Champion Range Bull and another which was Overall Breed Champion. The new family at the Barbara Schmidt farm will be Ray and Terry Mendcnhall and two children from Provo. Jerry Rowan, son of the Gerald Rowans is here at the old family home for a few weeks. Hopefully the Nickersons have found a place, temporarily, to live in here in Antimony and will not have to move. Chace and Chantry Brindley visited in Cedar City over the weekend with the Charley Brindleys. Tom and Charla Ricketts and family spent the weekend with her grandparents, Van and Betty Wiley while they kept dental appointments appoint-ments with Dr. Bob Wilson. Vaughnetta Roberts came up from Monroe to visit. She has been at her son, LaVar Roberts home for a few days. Jerry and Janene Savage are spending three days in Las Vegas, Nev. with her brother and family. The Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet was held in Circleville on Wednesday evening. Attending from Antimony were Kevin Willis and mother Mary Jean Willis; Corlas and Delsie Montague and Jacob, Jordan and Cole Montague; George and Bernice Jolley and her grandson, Travis Helquist; Holly Westwood; Shannon and Julie Allen and McKay and Bryce Allen. Those receiving awards were McKay Allen who received the Arrow of Light, cub scouting's highest award; Jacob Montague, who received a wolf badge and Bryce Allen, who received two arrow points. The Piute High School Drill Team has been outstanding this year and girls from Antimony who have participated are Heidi Gardner and Kori Willis. The boys have practiced and worked so hard in basketball at Piute. They include Jared Gleave, son of the Roger Gleaves; Mike Hansen, son of the Gary Hansens; Jeremy Wiley, son of the Bill Wileys and Riley Roberts, son of the Ken Roberts. The young people from Antimony who were in the Piute High School musical were Riley and Kcna Sue Roberts. Van and Betty Wiley were in Escalante on Tuesday evening for another wilderness meeting. Dave Robinson is back from work in Nephi and is now working on his brother Kirt's house in Circleville doing remodeling and some building. Reba Gleave has been on the sick list this week but we hope she will soon be well. |
