Show More Sign For Political Posts Tuesday's filing deadline for the Nov. 7 municipal election saw a few more last-minute signups throughout the county. In Panguitch, current council member Jake Albrecht and Arnold Kcown have tossed in their hats for the mayor's post. Only incumbent council member and Rick Swanger and Cindy Stewart have signed up for one of the three available council coun-cil scats. In Escalante, Clem Griffin and Howard Miller are vying for the mayor's position, with Bob Mun-son Mun-son and Sheldon Steed declaring their candidacy for the four-year council scats and Marilyn Jackson for the two-year scat In Tropic, incumbent mayor Bob Bradley has signed for re-election challenged by DcVar Pollock. Seeking the two four-year council scats arc Leland "Pat" Pollock who resigned from the board only a short while ago, Terry Barker and Afton Pollock. In Boulder Ruthanne Ress is seeking the mayor's post currently held by Donna Wilson and Wulf Barsch, Billic Jones, Gladys LeFevre, and Mary Jane Coombs have filed for the two four-year scats on the council. In Hcnrieville, Mayor Robert Patterson has filed for re-election challenged by Riley Miller, a former for-mer mayor. No one has yet signed up for any council seat. In Cannonville, John Mathews is running for mayor and Tom Shakespear, Lee Barney and Howard Leavitt are seeking the two four-year four-year council posts. In Hatch, LaVal Sawyer has filed for mayor with Merrill Burrows and Dorothy Barney each seeking one of the two four-year council positions. Antimony, with two four-year council seats open, has incumbent council member Koami DeLange and Garry Gericke running. Typically, election time will see additional names written in on election day. |
