Show Thelda H. Thompson JUNCTION Thelda Lenore Halladay Holman Thompson, 87, of Junction, died December 14, 1991 at a hospital in Panguitch. She was bom April 2, 1904 to Wilford Albert and Elsie Meeks Halladay in Circleville and married mar-ried John Lorenzo Holman January 18, 1921. She was widowed January Janu-ary 18, 1921 when her husband was killed in a mine accident. She was married again June 1, 1934 to William S. Thompson but was again widowed February 29, 1976. An active member of the LDS Church, Thelda held many positions. posi-tions. She worked for more than 20 years for the US Post Office and served on numerous civic and county boards. She devoted much of her life in the service of others. She is survived by: two daugh-ters.Charmaine daugh-ters.Charmaine Luke, Salt Lake City; and Mrs. Guy (Loana) Price, Junction; three sons, William G. Holman, Redlands, Calif.; and Don C. Thompson, and Darwin Thompson, Thomp-son, both Junction; 34 grandchildren; grandchil-dren; 87 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Susie Giles, Heber City; and three brothers, W. Meeks Halladay, Provo; Arrol Halladay, Sandy; and James Halladay, Portland, Ore. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 18, 1991, at the Circleville First LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Roger West-wood West-wood officiating. The family prayer was offered by William R. Holman with an invocation by Marden Pearson. Loana Price offered of-fered a tribute with Chad Price, Rodney J. Savage and William G. Holman also speaking. Closing remarks were given by Bishop Westwood. Prelude and postlude music Marie M. McCarney BARSTOW, CA Marie M. McCarney, 74, Barstow, Calif., died at her home on December 11, 1991. She was born Sept. 8, 1917 in Milwaukee, Wise, to Herman and Caroline Hackbarth and married John Ross McCarney in Gary, Ind. on September 10, 1943. ... Marie had resided in Barstow for 26 -years after moving from-homes from-homes in Gary, Ind. and Panguitch, Utah and had worked at Del Fried Chicken since its opening 25 years ago. She was a member of the Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church. Survivors include daughter Mrs. Jerrald (Laura Ann) Mosdell, Panguitch, sons Robert John McCarney, Mc-Carney, Escondido, Calif, and r i ) ' J i ..i'iunv-.'. Thelda Halladay Thompson were provided by granddaughter, Tibby Milne. Two separate duets were sung by Charlene Dalton and Terecea Westwood and Julie Phillips and Kim Halladay. Performing Per-forming a vocal sextet were Mary Ella Sud weeks, Afton Jensen, Beverly Bev-erly Westwood, Ann Dalton, Trish Whittaker, and Loana Price, accompanied ac-companied by Brenda Robinson. The benediction was offered by Troy Thompson with Guy E. Price dedicating the grave at the Holden Cemetery in Holden. Pallbearers were Robert Luke, Steven Savage, Ren Holman, David Thompson, Keith Price, Shawn Thompson, Maughn Pearson, and Paul Price. Darwin Thompson, Meeks Halladay, Hal-laday, William G. Holman, Arrol Halladay, James Halladay, Elvin Giles, Buck Tomlinson, Dean Tomlinson and Lynn J. Savage were the honorary pallbearers. David Ross McCarney, Riverside, Calif.; four grandsons; and two granddaughters. Brothers include Anton and Richard Hackbarth, Barstow, Calif, and Edward Hackbarth, Hack-barth, Dana Point, Calif. Also surviving sur-viving are sisters Mrs. Carlton (Bemice) Kempfer, Waupan, Wise.; . Mrs. Robert (Gertrude) Dushck, Fond du lac. Wise; and Mrs. - Herbert (Caroline) Winkel, Berlin, Wise. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to any favorite charity. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 16, 1991 at 11:00 a.m. at Mead Mortuary. Interment was in Mt. View Memorial Park, Barstow, Calif. Kent H. Nay Funeral services for Kent H. Nay, 62, were held Wednesday, Dec. 11, 1991, at the Circleville LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Afton Morgan officiating. John L. Nay offered the family prayer and Jerry LeFevre the invocation. invo-cation. Prelude and postlude music were provided by Brenda Robinson and vocal solos were performed by Margaret Jorgensen and Jimmy Cooper. Larissa Nay played a piano solo with Jimmy and Than Cooper singing "Daddy's Hands". A tribute was given by Larry Whittaker with President Paul Morgan speaking and Bishop Afton Morgan giving the closing remarks. Jonny Nay offered the benediction and Jay Woods dedicated dedica-ted the grave at the Circleville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kyle Barnson, Keith Norton, John Perotti, Jr., Terry Nay, Jim Finn, Paul Sherman, Sher-man, Randell Brown, and Bill Johnson. Honorary pallbearers included Alex Henkel, Chase Nay, Carl Dennis, John Perotti, Ike LeFevre, Lloyd Hurd, Basil Lay and Clifford Clif-ford R. Norton. |
