Show Crowds Enjoy Two Days Of Panguitch Horse Racing Fifteen exciting horse races kept the crowds happy during Friday and Saturday's annual Panguitch Horsemen's Race Meet. Local horses, owners, trainers and jockeys added to the stimulus. Bar Tru captured the win for Friday's Fri-day's first race for quarter horse two-year-olds (350 yards, $300 purse)) with Jason Palmer up. Owner is Kent Nielson and the trainer Brinkerhoff Racing. Place position went to Nicky's Plan, jockey S. Larson, owner and trainer Frank Larsen. The show horse was Ms Natural Diamond, jockey Claude Lyman, owner and trainer Gary Hall. The second race, for quarter horse three -year-olds and older (350 yards, $300 purse) , saw Derweahett take first with Jason Palmer up, owner and trainer, Bruce Ackerman; King of Victory second, Lance Ay-ers Ay-ers up, owner Mick Pryor, trainer M&L Stables; Charger Light third, S. Larsen up, owner and trainer Frank Larsen. Friday's third race, for thoroughbred thorough-bred three-year-olds and older that were non-winners of two races in a life and non-winners in 1991 (six furlongs, $300 purse), was won by Counter Measure, jockey Nate Condie, owner William Black and trainer KRC Stables. Second place went to Kumpani Toy, jockey Claude Lyman, owner Rich Marshall Mar-shall and trainer Melanie Lyman -with third place going to Revealing Magic, jockey James Sorenson, owner Louise Patterson and trainer Kevin Patterson. Dancing in the Shower took first place in the fourth race, jockey James Sorenson, owner Bob Crane, trainer Blake Marshall; Polly's Gold second, jockey Claude Lyman, owner and trainer Phil Zimmerman; and Force Trade third, jockey Nate Condie, owner and trainer Wade Marshall. The race was for thoroughbred thor-oughbred maiden two-year-olds (five furlongs, $300 purse). The fifth race on Friday, for thoroughbred maiden three-year-olds(five furlongs, $300 purse), was won by Thought For Today, Phil Toone up, owner and trainer Richard Jensen. Second place went to Hunter's Best, jockey Val Brinkerhoff, owner and trainer Ron Ekins. Third place went to Oz's Revenge, jockey James Sorenson, owner Oz Myers, trainer M&L Stables. Sta-bles. Muffit won the sixth race, for thoroughbred maiden three-year-olds(five furlongs, $300 purse), with jockey Phil Toone, owner and trainer Lynn Robinson. My Regal Tony took second place, jockey Claude Lyman, owner and trainer Melanie Lyman. Beau Easter took third place, jockey James Sorenson, owner Lynda Bulloch, trainer Bud Branham. Friday's final race, a claiming race for thoroughbred three-year-olds and older(five furlongs, $300 purse, claiming price $2,500) was won by Foxy Dude, jockey Phil Toone, owner and trainer Lynn Robinson. Taking second was Future Leader, with Claude Lyman up, owners and trainers Sam Spencer and Ross Woolsey. Third place winner was Easter's Knight, jockey Val Brinkerhoff, owner and trainer Don C. Lay. Saturday's opener for thoroughbred thorough-bred maiden three-year-olds and older(six furlongs, $300 purse), saw Tipple Tell with Val Brinkerhoff up and Time To Glitter with Claude Lyman up finish in a dead heat. Keith Christensen owns Tipple Tell; she was trained by Cory Fauntin. Lincoln Lyman owns Time To Glitter, trained by Melanie Lyman. The second race, also for thoroughbred thor-oughbred maiden three-year-olds and older (six furlongs, $300 purse), was won by Thorovision, jockey Phil Toone, owner and trainer Richard Jensen. Second place went to M"Leah's Pleasure, jockey Tim Marshall, owner John Hamill, trainers Shane and Wendy Bess. Third place went to My Favorite Spot with Val Brinkerhoff up, owned by Kent Nielson and trained by P. Cook.
