Show jl AKTIMOWy NEWS j) By Betty Wiley 624-3215 Three of the children of Tom and Charla Ann Ricketts, Las Vegas, Ve-gas, are spending some time visiting visit-ing their great-grandparents, the Van Wileys of Antimony and their grandparents, the Charley Brind-leys, Brind-leys, Koosharem. Kristen, Chyanne and Tulsa are enjoying their stay while their mother Charla Ann, accompanied ac-companied by her husband, attends meetings in San Diego associated with her job. Visiting with Julie Allen is Lisa Sonntag, an LDS social worker. She is originally from Connecticut, but has moved to California with her employment. She was Julie's roommate at Brigham Young University. Uni-versity. The 4-H riding club attended the awards program for Piute County on Tuesday evening. Connie King, the club's leader, was presented with a gift to honor her on her selection se-lection as "Outstanding Leader of the Year." The scout PowWow was held again on Tuesday evening where scouts could attend to work on their merit badges. On Nov. 14, several LDS young men and women attended the St. George Temple to perform baptisms bap-tisms for the dead. Quite ill, the young son of the Shannon Aliens was taken to the doctor twice last weekend , but he is doing fine now. Julie Allen has been having health problems requiring trips to Richfield to see her doctor. Elaine Roberts Tebbs spent Tuesday with her parents, the Garth Roberts. Connie King has her erand- daughter here visiting with her for a week. She is the daughter of Connie's Con-nie's son Fred. Burns and Mona Black will leave about the 12th for a trip to Europe. They will be gone for several weeks. Terry Gardner has purchased some land from the children of Don Savage. With plans to go into the dairy business, he will be building a milk barn. Janene, Trade and Jessica Savage Sav-age have been spending a few days in Las Vegas. Ken and Mary Hill will be going to Bronson, Mo., some time after mid-November, where they will attend at-tend the annual Ozark Christmas programs, returning in about a month for an anticipated Christmastime Christmas-time visit from their children from California. The LDS Relief Society held its work meeting on Wednesday where several of the ladies made bean bag dolls. Phil Allen and Gary Gericke traveled last weekend to Fallon, Nev. to attend a bull sale. Jolene Gleave is the CTR teacher in Primary and Preston Gleave has been advanced to the office of a priest Speaking at LDS Sacrament meeting on Sunday was Wade Jensen, son of the Ken Jensens of Circleville, who has recently returned re-turned from a Seattle, Wash, mission mis-sion for the Church. Calvin and Barbara Gleave took their parents Marcus and Margaret Gleave to St. George where Margaret Mar-garet had eye surgery. The Rob Quists have been taking tak-ing turns with the flu bug, but they are both on the mend. """ |
