Show f Ciiim OBITUARIES V Fay Ella Cameron Prince PANGUITCH Fay Ella Cameron Prince, 80, of Panguitch, Utah died Oct. 25, 1995 at her home in Panguitch. She was bom Aug. 4, 1915 in Circleville, Utah to Benjamin and Mary Ella Batty Cameron Jr. She married Joseph Rulon Prince, Dec. 9, 1932 in the St. George LDS Temple. Fay Ella enjoyed the outdoors and played in the Panguitch Rhythm Band. She was a happy and pleasant person. She was a member of the LDS Church where she served in all the auxiliaries. Fay Ella was also a member of the Camp Cornelia Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She had been employed as a secretaryclerk at Bradshaw Auto in Panguitch. Fay Ella and her husband managed and operated two different resorts at Panguitch Lake. She is survived by: husband, Rulon of Panguitch; two sons and two daughters and their spouses, Mary Ella and Reid Sudweeks, Circleville; J. Merle and Pauline Prince, Panguitch; Rula and Garry Porter, Central Valley and Howard Kay and Kay Prince, Bountiful; 16 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, DeLoa Reed, Bloomington Hills; Carma Sproul, Washington; Elwyn Cameron, serving an LDS Mission in Palmyra, N.Y.; and Don C. Cameron, Hurricane. She was preceded in death by: her parents, four brothers, one sister and one great-grandson. Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 28, 1995 in the Panguitch 3rd LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Del Hulet presiding and Elder Robb Veater officiating. Prelude and postlude music was provided by Brenda Robinson and the Tri-Ward Choir under the direction of Maurietta SyrelL The family prayer was given by . son J. Merle Prince prior to the I beginning of the service. The j invocation was by grandson Michael Sudweeks, followed by a Wayne Barney ESCALANTE Wayne j Barney, long-time resident of Escalante and retired postmaster, S died Oct 23 in Mesa, Ariz. He was 88. Wayne was bom in Escalante on May 19, 1907, to Edith Porter and George Henry Barney. He was a graduate of Escalante High School and attended the Branch Agricultural College in Cedar City, where he was editor of the school newspaper and a member of the National Guard. He married lone Shurtz in Tooele in 1929. She died July 3, 1984. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Escalante for 26 years, retiring in 1972. He had also been town clerk and secretary of the Lions Club. During the Great Depression, Wayne was employed X : ' - ' i Fay Ella Cameron Prince vocal selection, "Beyond the Sunset" performed by the Panguitch Tri-Ward Choir with a reading by Terri Kay Busch, a granddaughter. A tribute to Mom was beautifully rendered by daughter, Mary Ella Sudweeks. The Cooper Family sang "In the Garden" followed by speaker Vee Worthen and remarks by Elder Robb Veater. A vocal selection "A Perfect Day" was performed by the Panguitch Tri-Ward Choir followed by the benediction given by a grandson, J. Frank Prince. Pallbearers were son Howard Kay Prince, sons-in-law Reid Sudweeks Sud-weeks and Garry Porter, and grandsons grand-sons Troy Porter, Keith Trott and Ryan Prince. Honorary pallbearers were grandsons and great-grandsons, Ralph Veater, Scott Robinson, Ira LeFevre and Frank Orton. Flower girls were granddaughters and great-granddaughters. Compassionate services were rendered by the sisters of the Panguitch Pan-guitch 3rd Ward Relief Society. Burial was in the Panguitch Cemetery with dedication of the grave provided by grandson Rick G. Porter. Funeral directors: Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield. by the smelter in Tooele, the Civilian Conservation Corps, and the WPA. Survivors include a brother, Kline Porter Barney, Provo; three daughters: Jean Ikard, Roanoke, Va.; Joan Semones, Mesa, Ariz.; Jillyn Carpenter, Sewanee, Tenn.; six grandchildren and thirteen greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held Friday, Oct 27, 1995 in the Escalante Cemetery. Wayne's nephews conducted the services: John Brent Camara, Seattle, Wash., invocation; John Carl Tuft, Monroe, remarks and family tribute; trib-ute; Dr. Don Tuft, Brigham City, dedication. His friend and cousin, Bill Griffin, Escalante, gave the benediction. |
