Samuel Blouser of Tooele, in his 1985 Ford pickup, headed uphill, met Joseph Phillips of Payson, in his 1990 Ford pickup, headed down. Neither was cited, but Garfield County Sheriffs Deputy Monte Luker who investigated, says drivers who habitually drive down the middle on mountain roads need to either swing wide enough to see what's coming or hug the right side. Dense trees prevented both of these drivers from seeing each other. One passenger in Blouser's truck was treated for minor injuries at the scene. |
