Show second annual founders day at U A C march 8 the second annual founders day will be observed by the utah agricultural college on march 8 according to president E G peterson an invitation to be present is extended to all members ot of the alumni association former students friends and patrons ot of the college the program for the day begins with a special assembly in the college chapel at 11 a m at which songs and cheers cheer ot of former years will be revived and speakers will review revie the progress made by the institution since it was founded 37 years ago at 1230 p in 9 a tree free lunch will be served in the main alain building and at students of the different college classes will stage a vaudeville in the college chapel an athletic carnival will be held in the smart gymnasium at p ni and this will be followed by a matinee dance eThe the college play the show off will be produced at the capitol theatre in the evening the annual observance ot of founders day was initiated last year by students of 0 the agricultural college with a afew of stimulating interest in the history and development ot of the institution and to renew interest in the ideals which have served to guide it as a vital factor in the rural advancement of utah the central committee in charge of this years celebration consists of P V cardon carden chairman reed bailey representing the alumni association and editha smith vice president ot of the student body A number of subcommittees committees sub are actively furthering plans to make this occasion outstanding in the history of the college |
