Show MOTHER T H E R OF 0 F SIXTEEN VT CALLED mrs josiah richardson early utah pioneer died tuesday night funeral services were held this afternoon ernson at 1 at the second ward d chapel tor for mrs sarah ann knight richardson wife of 0 josiah richardson who died tuesday night at 8 from the effects of a paralytic stroke at the family home south first west street in brigham city bishop N J valentine presided to plain city for burial at the services and the body was taken mrs richardson was born in pot pat county iowa august 15 1846 she came to utah in 1852 and settled first at ginghams Bing hams fort near the P resent present site of ogden city she married mar ried mr richardson in 1863 she was a member of the mormon church and an active relief society worker for twenty years she was president of 0 relief society organizations first at ammon idaho and later at tilden idaho cove oregon and malad idaho the family having removed to brigham city from malad six years ago she was the mother of sixteen children and reared from infancy tour four other children whom she and her husband adopted besides her husband the following children survive her george howard ebb and jed richardson and I 1 mrs A B stowell and mrs annie dowden bowden all of brigham city mrs john price sad and oscar richardson of malad idaho mrs ruth parson of walla walla washington ves vea richardson of oakland caiet surviving also are fifty three grand children seventy three great grandchildren three great great grand children and one sister mrs ellen richardson of ogden |
