Show state repaid repa ld expenses and family Is happy A check tor for 1952 reimburses the state ot of utah for extradition expenses and dries a wife incidentally it is hoped by state and county officials that happiness will come to lo the family of orville canfield Canti eld it is the first time in the history of the state that money has been paid b back ack under these circumstances orville canfield of this city deserted his wife and five children and was subsequently located at reno nev he was brought back under extradition machinery when it was found that his family was in desperate circumstances and about to become a public charge when canfield arrived he be was met byais by his wife who fell upon his neck a all wad was forgiven relatives and friends came in to send canfield Can fied his wife and children bath back to nevada we have received 49 52 to pay the expenses of extradition which Is hereby refunded to the state said county attorney J wesley livesley horsley of box elder county ln in a letter to the state attorney gene gelerak in view of the circumstances and because of the fact that all had been forgiven it ft was decided by the county officials of box elder that the ends ot of justice might be better attained by delaying further prosecution and permitting canfield Canti eld and his family to take up life again in the silver silver state where he had secured employment T the h 9 ansta instance U ce Is cited as peculiar and unusual in that the state is made whole and a family has been made happy telegram |
