Kay Jolley and his daughter, Susan, were here on the weekend. She taught the gospel doctrine class in LDS Sacrament meeting as Ted Jolley was ill. The Steve Sorensons of California attended church in Antimony on Sunday. Amy Jolley, daughter of the Scott Jolleys of Ohio, played a flute solo in LDS Sacrament and Gannon Roberts was advanced to the office of a teacher. He is a son of Ken and Valeen Roberts. DLynn Poll rolled her car near Richfield on her way to a meeting in Salt Lake City. She missed her meeting but was very lucky not to be seriously injured. Darlene Durbin of Havasu, Ariz., who has a summer home here, took a group of young people to Richfield swimming last Thursday and this week she took a group to see the popular show "Pocahontas." The speaker in LDS Sacrament meeting Sunday was Danny Torgerson who just returned from a mission to Russia. Trent and Shelley Gleave had their baby blessed and named Holly on Fast Sunday by Burns Black. A family dinner was held at Tom and Connie King's home. Also attending was Connie's father, Darys Ekker of Hanksville and Shelley's father. Verlene Gleave had her sister and husband, Ora and Pat Waphem of San Diego drop in for a short visit. Attending the basketball clinic at Southern Utah University in Cedar City were Jeremy Wiley and Mike Hansen. The new girls coach, Libby Price of Lehi has scheduled a volleyball clinic at Piute High School on Friday and Saturday for all female players. Klynn Willis won a first place in the one mile race at the annual 5k Liberty Fun Run on Tuesday in Richfield in age group 16-20; Kori and Kyle Willis won first place awards in the 5k and Kati and Kent Willis won third place in their age groups in the 5k run. Jeremy Wiley of St. David, Ariz, came for the holiday on July 4 to visit with family, the Van Wileys and see his son, Jeremy Jr. who is spending the summer in Antimony with his grandparents. Gary Atkin has built a larse deer horn chandelier, jt ) teet tall, to hang in the -.in lobby of the Rockin R Guest Ranch. Marge Robinson is tending around nine of her grandchildren while their parents are spending the week on their annual houseboat trip at Lake Powell. Jerry and Janene Savage traveled to Cedar City to visit with their family, the Keith Savages. We vvere proud to see Kent King's name on the list of bachelor degree candidates from the USU. He is a former re:dcnt of Antimony. |
