Show I 111 - By Ronnie Brinkerhoff 679-8734 Received a nice note from Alice Christensen who reported she had recent visits from her daughters Vesta Christensen and Grace Marshall Mar-shall and daughter and son-in-law Tammy and Aruro Rodriguez, all of whom brought their children. Everyone fell in love with Tropic and enjoyed visiting all the area parks. Son Jordan Christensen also visited. Alice left recently for a month-long visit with another son Tom and his wife Beate who live in Germany. Bclva Frandsen, a high school friend of Alice'sflew over with her. Colt Niemann, son of Todd and Nancy Niemann of Kanab, was named MVP of the Tri-City All State Little League team. Colt's prOud granparcnts are John and Claudie Niemann of Tropic and Bob and Joyce Ashby of Delta. Area LDS missionaries "Houston' "Hous-ton' Bradshaw and Rhett Donavan have left the Bryce Valley area, elder Bradshaw is in Panguitch and ' Elder Donavan has been transferred to Panaca, Nev. Sara Liulcfield called to report welcome visitors at her home. Son Jim and his wife Susie of San Francisso, Calif, traveled to Tropic for Jim's 40th high school graduation grad-uation reunion. On the way they stopped in Las Vegas to pick up his sister Janell Cook and Janell's daughter-in-law Julie Cook of Arlington, Va. Janell and Julie stayed for two weeks, spending a good deal of time hiking the canyon. "Julie nearly wore out her hiking shoes," laughed Sara. She and husband Malen were sad to see them leave. Ora Brinkerhoff enjoyed visits from her daughter and son-in-law Oretta and Doug Malmedal of Las Vegas. Oretta's son and daughter-in-law Raymond and Michelle Guiterrez and their childre4n visited as well. Raymond and family with friends from Las Vegas camped out at Kodachrome. We all thrill to see our loved ones and friends and it is hard to say goodbye. My own daughter consoled con-soled me recently when she was ' saying goodbye - again - and leaving for another three years, . when she said, "Remember, Mom, for every goodbye there is a hello." |
