V , if a e L Charley and Noreen Evans Evanses Celebrate 65th Wedding Anniversary HATCH The children of Lynn (Charley) and Noreen Evans will honor their parents 65th wedding anniversary with an open house at the Hatch Color Country Town Park on Sunday, July 23 from 3 until 6 p.m. Lynn and Noreen were married July 19, 1930 in Panguitch. Their marriage was solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple on Dec. 6, 1933. Lynn is a son of the late Hi and Mae Evans of Hatch and Noreen's parents, now deceased, are Thomas George and Sessie Clark of Orderville. Lynn is a retired log truck driver and served as a member of the Hatch Town Board for 20 years. He has been an active member of the LDS Church, serving many years in the elders quorum. Noreen has been a homemaker and has served in many LDS organizations. She has served as an organist in the Hatch LDS Ward for 62 years and is serving still was ward organist. The Evanses are parents Clark and Elsie Evans, Washington, Utah; Shirlcen (Mrs. Erv) Jensen, Las vegas, Nev.; Gwen Crofts, Ireta ( Mrs. Rich) Tubbs, and Dcloy (Jolene) Evans, all St. George. They have 31 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. The family requests no gifts but invites all friends, relatives and neighbors to attend. |
