Robert Larsen is a son of Neldon and Vera Larsen. From Richfield, they traveled to attend grandson David Mecham's high school graduation. David is a son of Vernal and Linda Mecham. There were many visitors in Tropic over the Memorial Day weekend. Brothers Jim and Steve Little-field Little-field along with their wives visited their parents Sara and Malen Little-field. Little-field. Jim is from California and Steve lives in Layton. Eldon Palmer of Hawthorne, Nev., visited with son Bart Palmer and family. Also Bart's sister Elenor, her husband Bill and their daughter Elke Steves visited the Palmer's. Elke will be spending the summer. Donald Shakespear, his wife Karma and family of Bear River City were visiting at the Malen and Marian Mecham home. Also visiting was Marian's daughter Palma Miles, husband Roland and their family of Cedar City. Nancy Hubner, husband Bill and daughter Beth Ann of West Valley City spent several days at the Margaret Mecham home. Also, daughter Garnet Barton, husband Bob and daughter Cami Jo of Cedar City visited. The Ronald Milieus of Salt Lake City were in town moving their trailers down for the summer and sprucing up their lot. Former residents Georgia Flannigan, Cedar City and sister Lois Eckersly, Loa, were at the cemetery. They are daughter of Minerva Dutton (deceased). At the Ella Adair home were Bonnie and Gail Miles; their son Greg of Las Vegas, Nev. and his three sons; daughter Joann Carter, Orem; daughter Carrie Feris and husband Kip, Cedar city, aiso visiting were Larry and Carol Adair; daughter Montyne, her husband Martin Anderson and their three sons; son Shane, his wife Kim and infant son Kadcn, all Cedar City; and daughter Chong Won and her husband Greg Christcnsen of West Valley City. Joann Topham and daughter of Monroe visited at the LaRene Munson home. Garn L. Pollock, Bountiful was visiting at the home of his parents, Glcnna and Adrian Pollock. Lucille Snow, daughter of Viola Marshall (deceased) visited with Ella Adair and other friends in her home town of Tropic. Scott Mecham and his family were at his parents home, Lowell and Margaret Mecham. Clarence and Mary Lou Jollcy of Salt Lake City visited with cousins Ora Brinkerhoff and Gaya Greenhalgh. Weldon and Alene LeFevre of Monroe brought Amplus LeFevre home after a visit at their home in Monroe. Vanda Ray May, former resident of Tropic, now living in Wyoming visited Del Rae Pollock. The two have not seen each other for fifty years. Wanda is a sister of Vera Ray, (deceased). Raymond and Ronnie Brinkerhoff traveled to Escalante on Memorial Day, stopping at the Henrieville Cemetery where they saw and visited with former Henrieville residents DcLoy and Karen Dutton and Howard and Louise Savage, Cedar City. Russell LeFevre has been seen about Tropic. Russell will be vis iting on and off throughout the summer and staying at his home in Henrieville. Sheila Harper of Duchesne spent a few days with her parents, Reed and Mary LeFevre. Bart and Peggy Palmer visited in Cedar City with son Tyce and his wife Paula and family. Alice Christensen traveled to Salt Lake City for the Memorial Day weekend. Clive and Thclma Bybee enjoyed visits from family members; daughters daugh-ters Sharon White and her husband Chris of Santa Clara; son Kevin and his wife Cassie of Ogden; daughter KaeLynn Harward and husband Paul of Riverton; and all their families. Daughter Mary Ann and her daughter Jessica of St. George were both at the Bybee's for the weekend as well. The AhlstromMiller reunion was held at the Tropic Town Park and Doug's Place with approximately approxi-mately 78 family members attending, attend-ing, including Reva Rasmussen and family of Orem; Jack Miller of Cedar City; sisters Glenna Page and Jolene Waite of St. George; Lois Frazier of Logan and John Walter Ahlstrom, Sr. and his wife LaVern of Hurricane. Louise Shakespear had her sons Darrell of Las Vegas, Doug of Hurricane and Kevin of Santa Clara and their families home as well as daughter Melinda Dotson, husband Rob and girls of Cedar City. Riley and Kenna Roberts of Antimony are spending the summer in Tropic at the home of their brother Dave Roberts. They will be working at Doug's Place. Kent and Betty Wintch were happy to have daughter Charlene Higuera, her son Rusty and daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law Heidi and Brad Baird, all of Orem visiting. The Wintch's grandson Ronnie Spencer and his wife Christine and baby Cori visited as well. The Spencers are in the process of moving to Colorado, but wanted baby Cori to spend some time with her great-grandparents great-grandparents Kent and Betty, before leaving Utah. Howard and Dorothy Leavitt of Cannonville were visited by son Richard and his wife Lou Jean and sons Calvin and Cody, all of Las Vegas, Nev. A missionary dinner was held for David Shakespear at the Tropic LDS Ward Chapel on Wednesday evening. David is a son of Franz and Margaret Shakespear and will be serving in the South Africa Cape Town Mission. Seen at the 1995 SUU graduation exercises which were held at the Centrum in Cedar City were former Tropic residents John Lyle and Jenny LeFevre, who were attending on behalf of their daughter Linda's husband, Jamie, who graduated gradu-ated with a degree in Science. . Nellie Rae Mecham was seen on the main floor along with many proud parents, family and friends, taking pictures of her son Jan Fullmer, who received his Masters Degree in Accounting. Dad Stan was also on hand, as well as grandfather Malen Mecham and his wife Marian. Marian was also there to see her daughter Palma Miles receive re-ceive two degrees, one in Home Economics and an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development |
