Show Virgil Henry Jolley PAYSON Virgil Henry Jol-ley, Jol-ley, 86, Payson, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 1992 at the Mountain View Hospital in Payson. He was born to Henry A. and Mabel Rappley Jolley in Tropic on May 26, 1905 and married Nelda Susie Chynoweth in Panguitch on Dec. 28, 1932. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. He was educated in Tropic schools and worked for 19 years in southern Utah as a farmer, rancher and cattleman. From 1951 until his retirement in 1974, he was employed em-ployed in southern Utah County. Virgil served on the Tropic Town Council and also on the water wa-ter and irrigation board. A member mem-ber of the LDS Church, he served as a high priest and as an ordinance worker in the Provo Temple. His survivors include his wife of Payson; six sons and four daughters: Neldon V. Jolley, Enterprise; En-terprise; Harvey Henry Jolley, Payson; Dale E. Jolley, West Valley Val-ley City; Ned C. Jolley, Orem; Max L. Jolley, West Jordan; William C. Jolley, Payson; Mrs. Ross (Marie) Barney, St. George; Mrs. George (Karel) Hill, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Larry (Maxine) Rose and Mrs. Joseph (Monna Mae) Thomas, both of Spanish Fork; 34 grandchildren; and 73 great-grandchildren . He is also survived by one brother and two sisters: Earl Jolley, Jol-ley, Tropic; Ilene Penrod, Elberta; and Ua Olsen, Orem. Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 3, 1992 at the Spanish Span-ish Fork 8th LDS Ward Chapel with interment in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery. |
