Show i iif hI mm By Mamie Talbot 676-8084 The annual January thaw seems to be shrinking the snow banks and, in some cases, stretching the truth. By way of correcting an error in last week's column made by your correspondent, we (meaning I), gave you the following: The Kay Heywoods were surprised to read that they have two new granddaughters. grand-daughters. Since they had just returned re-turned from visiting their daughters, daugh-ters, Kathy Geiselmayer and Terrie Jacobsen, this was indeed news. Just imagine what a shocker this could be to Kathy and Terrie. The report should have read that Kay and Neilene Heywood had a visit from two granddaughters who are attending college at Cedar City. One of them is the Geiselmayer's daughter and the other is Bruce and Rita Heywood's daughter. Thanks for laughing Neilene, when you reported re-ported the error. We hope it doesn't cause any long-lasting trauma. Our love goes to the Stanley Andrews family at the death of Eva Clovis. Larry and Dawna Barney broke up the long winter by going north to spend the weekend with Clint and Missy Bamey in Ogden and Larry's sisters, Shirley and Olive, in Salt Lake City and the Ron Perkins family in West Valley City. They all had to do some mighty fast talking to get their visiting in. The Jim Henries are home after two months away. Among others, they caught up with childhood friends in the Dixie area. Marvell Geurin was taken by Life Flight to Salt Lake City for medical attention. The John Wolfes have sold their home. We will miss them and wish them well in their travels and life in the future. Golda Julander enjoyed a visit in California with her brother and is glad to be home. Born and reared Panguitchites, Cecile Lynn, Washington, and Mary Lynn Dobson, Ivins, have been called to serve LDS missions in San Diego. The sisters will enter the Missionary Training Center in Provo at the same time. In the Panguitch LDS First Ward, Krystle Cooper, daughter of Charley and Kerri Cooper, was baptized a member of the LDS Church. Colin Marshall, son of the Steve Marshalls, graduated from primary and was ordained a deacon. Randi Weeks, who recently moved to Panguitch, sang a beautiful beauti-ful solo. Steve Marshall was sustained sus-tained to the Panguitch Stake High Council, Shirley Bell was called to be an in-service leader, Christine Littlefield was called to the stake family history program and Joan Norton was called as stake primary secretary. |
