Show flREfl OBITUARIES ) Howard Elmo Bushnell HENRIEVILLE Elmo Bushnell, 65, Henrievllle, died Dec. 23, 1983, In a Panguitch Hospital. He was born Julys, 1918, Meadow, to George Labrum and Iva Bell Swallow Bell. He married Iris Smith, Aug. 30, 1939, Meadow; later solemnized In the St. George LDS Temple. He was a government hunter and trapper, later employed as a heavy equipment operator. He was a veteran of World War n and member of the Bryce Valley American Legion Post. He was active in the LDS Church where he served as a priesthood teacher and a counselor in the Sunday School. Survivors: wife, Henrievllle; daughters, Mrs. Paul (Keela) Mangum, Tropic; Mrs. Jeffrey (Kim) Johnson, Henrievllle; 10 grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; brothers, sisters, Mrs. Glendon (Mildred) Porter, Clearfield; Dean, Santee, Calif.; Mrs. Jack (Elaine) Harper, Central, Washington County; George Junior, Bountiful; Dr. Van, Cedar City. Funeral services were Tuesday in the Henrleville Ward chapel with Bishop Kenneth G. Platt,.off iciating. Charles Moore gave the family prayer and Viola Rose played prelude and postlude music. Dennis Shakespear offered the invocation. Speakers were Van Bushnell, tribute by Cecile Bluth, Stanley Mecham and remarks by Bishop Piatt. Music include selection by Deon Alvey and Marlene Haws; vocal solo by Gloria Chynoweth; piano solo by Crystal Mangum and vocal duet by HI a fft WKmm Howard Elmo Bushnell Kenny Goulding and Ralph Chynoweth. Jim Smith gave the benediction. Interment was in the Henrleville Cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield, where Dewey Willis gave the dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were Dean Bushnell, George Bushnell, Tawn Mangum, Clayton Johnson, Clint (Shuck) Mecham, Harvey Mecham, Mclain Mecham, Carson Johnson, Cyle Johnson, Jeffrey Johnson, Paul 0. Mangum. Honorary pallbearers were Bodie Mecham, Jan Fullmer, Jim Miller, Smith Alvey, Ward Gibson, Irving Rose, Vance Pollock, Kowan Ott, Olaf Shakespear, Cal Chynoweth, Vee Worthen and Dee Houston. |
