Show Society To Hold Easter Dinner Color Country Gem and Mineral Society members will hold an Easter potluck dinner and club meeting April 13 at 7 p.m. at the Panguitch City Room. The Tuesday evening dinner-meeting is open to members and visitors interested in the club's activities. Members will bring a potluck dish for dinner and the club will furnish a ham, rolls, butter and a beverage. Participants should bring their own place settings according to Clay Young who has been serving as interim president while club president Maryon Winkler has been out-of-state. Mrs. Winkler will return to chair Tuesday's meeting. At the meeting following dinner, members will vote on a change in their regular meeting night and other minor changes in the bylaws. The group which has been one of the most active in the county welcomes new members and is planning its first field trip of the season for April 17. Members will meet at milepost 61 just east of Escalante at 8:30 a.m. They will travel together 20 miles south of Escalante to gather colorful specimens of agate. Escalante Club members Hank and Naomi Bolton have made arrangements with Escalante resident Edson Alvey to guide the group on the agate hunt. The group will share a potluck lunch after which they will tour Alvey's personal museum by invitation. Color club members will also sponsor a fun-draising event July 24 to purchase equipment for the club. Currently club members use equipment owned by Howard Johnson, Bill Niebel, and Randal Keown for their projects. Arrangements may be made to use the equipment at, the personal shops of any one of the three simply by making an appointment.
