Show Escalante Chit Chat Fay Alvey Spence Haycock is home under oxygen all the time. Arden Taylor took Mae Vonn to Salt Lake City to a specialist. She will remain under his care. Nell Wooley gets around the house fairly well and was told to walk. Glenna Banks came home with her leg in a cast. Garneal Smith was taken to a heart specialist in Salt Lake City. Ora Schow went to Richfield to her doctor. The Tyler Lymans have a 4 lb. baby girl and the Arthur Lymans a 9 lb. baby boy both born at Garfield Memorial Hospital. The Al Barlows came from California to camp on their property here. The special Interest group met at the home of Lillie Spencer for home evening. Bill and Dawn Griffin went north for a track meet where son Brian won. He now goes to Texas for national finals. LaVern and Mary Griffin are home from St. George stopping overnight in Kanab with son Eldon and family. Mary brought home a stubborn case of gout. Starns Mecham took Fon to Provo where she checked into the Utah Valley Hospital to be prepared for hip surgery. Arnold and Deon Alvey visited family members in Wayne County. The Rulon Jolleys of Cedar City came and took Marie Hall to Salt Lake City to meet her son Walter Steffensen of New Mexico who brought his daughter Lana to enter the mission home. They all went through the Jordan River temple and the Salt Lake City temple. Ruth Hale of Hurricane and her daughtr Alberta from Las Vegas visited the Rex Masters here. Frank Vinuit and his special students spent one day at the art show in Panguitch and another skiing at Brian Head. Ivan and Nelda Willis spent some time in Kanab with his brother Garn. Our town board officials went to Tropic for a meeting with all the county board people. Edson Alvey showed colored slides of the Canyon Country to members of the Glen Canyon Recreational Service and a group of students from Washington State who are making trails in the Coyote Gulch area. They met in the scout room in the stake house. The Ron Schows had daughter Karen and husband Joseph Fink here for a visit. He is in the service and stationed in Germany, they will now be living in Colorado Springs, Wy. LaRue Spencer is home from Florida and will report his mission on Easter. Some folks tell a half truth, perhaps to get a laugh, what makes it intolerable they tell the wrong half. |
