Show Just Stuff by Jan You know, it is certainly reassuring to know that there are magazines, newspapers, and other media doing their job letting us, the public, know the Important facts about the people of our country who are in the limelight. I find that I can sleep better at night knowing what color the dress was that Brooke Shields wore to last night's party and whom she danced with; what Burt Reynolds eats for breakfast and whom he dines with for dinner, and what color Dinah Shore's bedroom is. I am glad that we are kept informed whenever Nancy Reagan walks into a department store or files her nails, when she gets her hair done and how often she has a manicure. These are all such salient facts. Oh! To be in the "Limelight!" To be rich and famous. Everyone at one time in his life has wished for this, but is it all it's cracked up to be? Sure, I'd love to have money, but I wouldn't want eveyrone and his dog to know how many times I spilled my milk or tripped walking up to a podium. I figure how I peel potatoes and what I eat for dinner are my business. Of course, when someone is constantly in the public's eye the public should be aware of these things. I was glad to hear that President Reagan is in good health and all his tracts are on the right track. I just hope we won't be informed everytime he makes a trip to the little boys' room! |
