Show Frustrated patrons were forced to leave when equipment failed at Panguitch's Gem Theater last week. Equally frustrated owners and Cancer Crusade Hailed Successful in County Garfield County's First Annual Cristmas Cancer Crusade was a success according to crusade director Pam Yardley. She noted as she deposited $500 for the organization that several contributions were yet to be received. managers opted to invest In new equipment for upwards of $10,000.00 and anticipate no further breakdowns. The group, headed by Mrs. Yardley, Elaine Gardner and Nancy Houston, sponsored a giant Christmas card which was published in the Garfield County News on Christmas Eve. Residents throughout the county contributed to the Christmas Cancer Crusade and by doing so had their name included on the county-wide greeting. Pleased with the success of the venture, a first-time promotion for Garfield County, Mrs. Yardley stated that they would have a bigger and better campaign next year. She said the community Christmas card concept permitted contributors to send warm greetings of the season to their friends while actively helping cancer victims and their families, thus helping to keep the true meaning of Christmas alive. |
