Show by Jan We live in a deciding world! By the time a person is off to school, off to work, or off to. wherever it is they're off to, they have made a minimum of 25 decisions. These decisions are made most everyday of the week, every week of the year. Take an average college coed: First, she has to decide if she's going to crawl out of bed when the alarm clock rings, or if she's going to turn it off and go back to sleep. (The bed usually wins, unless there hap pens to be a test that day) Once up, she must decide if she's going to shower or take a bath; wash her hair or wear it dirty; ribbons or bows? combs or baretts? in a bun or straight? Then, what should she wear? Dress or pants? If she wears a dress, does she need to shave? If she wears pants, should she wear levis or dress pants? What shirt? A blouse? A sweater? A tee shirt? What a dilemma. Then comes make up! Is she even going to wear any? If not, great; if so, what color eye shadow? What shade of lipstick? What fragrance of perfume? Which toothpaste? After she's dressed and put on her face, does she want breakfast? or is today the day the diet starts? If she's eating, what should she have? Bacon and eggs? A slice of toast? Orange juice or a cup of tea? If she has tea, does she use sugar or artificial sweetener, or just take it black? Now it's off to class . . . but first, which books should she take? All of them? none of them? a few of them? Is she coming home after school, or going to the library to study? Is it cold outside? Should she wear a jacket? a coat? a sweater? put on a blazer? Change into warmer clothes? Finally, after 90 million decisions, some taking a split second to decide, others taking an eternity, she's on her way to class where she'll be bombarded by another million questions 1 |
