Show Bryce Valley Students Ready Classic Comedy TROPIC - Bryce Valley will lead off the drama season this year for Garfield County schools with the presentation this week of the classic play, "Arsenic and Old Lace." A single performance can be seen Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Bryce Valley High School gym. The program that evening will be a studentbody fund raiser with tickets for adults $1.50 and students $1.00. Direction of the play has been the primary responsibility of Todd Stubbs, drama director for the school. Kelly Leavitt has worked as an assistant director on the production with Tim Feltner and Bill Stout sharing responsibility for securing necessary props. Lighting has been supervised by Sean Stewart and Stacy Ott with Michele Wills handling design. The comedy features the story of two sweet little old ladies, Abby and Martha Brester, who labor to find lonely old men and put them to rest as one of their favorite charities. When a nephew, Mortimer, discovers what is taking place, he attempts to protect his "sweet" aunts but his efforts are complicated by the appearance of another nephew, Johnathan, a gangster. Cast members of the production include Paula Chynoweth, Pauline Pollock, Eric Syrett, Roland Johnson, David Jensen, Scott Moss and Shauna Quilter. Additional cast members include Craig Bybee, Scott Mecham, Daniel Rose and Todd Stubbs. |
