Show It's a steal. And that's what his shoplifting record will say, too tm ' There's a new Utah law that really gets tough with shoplifters. Shop lifting is a crime. If you're arrested, your name goes on the books. Keep it simple. Pay for your purchases. A criminal record is too high a price for a tennis racquet. Shoplifters pick up a iecord, too. Q Energy Tip From Garkane Power Association We all know it. Our water supplies are gradually being threatened by population increases, industrialization, salt water encroachment, and pollution. Long-range planning could change the situation. But individual water conservation is imperative now. One of the simplest ways to conserve water is to keep faucets in good repair. One leaky faucet can pour as much as 50 gallons of water down the drain in one dayl Make regular checks for leaks both inside and outside your home. If you have a dishwasher, use it only with a full load. Apply the same rule to your washing machine. When doing dishes by hand, rinse them in a sinkful or pan of water, rather than letting the water run over them. Showers generally use less water than baths. A water-saving shower head can be installed to reduce the flow to one-and-a-half gallons a minute from the usual five to eight. Instead of runnng the water continuously while brushing our teeth or shaving, fill a glass with water, then turn off the tap. Use, the glass of water to rinse your mouth and brush. When shaving rinse your razor in a few inches of water in the basin, rather than using a steady stream of hot water. Everyone wants a pretty lawn, but don't overwater. If the grass springs back when you step on it, it needs no watering. Think of your own methods of water savings. There are many , . . and they mean water for the future!
