Show Weed Control Seminars Set Throughout Garfield Louis Jensen, extension weed control specialist, will introduce the 1979 weed control guide, and answer individual questions with weed control recommendations at seminars to be held at several locations In Garfield County. Vcrl Matthews, Garfield County extension agent, said the purpose of the seminar is to give participants an opportunity to get answers to their own particular weed problems. Discussion will center around control In pasture alfalfa, small grains, vegetable gardens, lawns, vacant lots, road rights of way and ditch banks. Shelly Dumas, community schools coordinator for this program In Garfield County, has announced that while the weed control guide will cost $1, there will be no charge for the seminar. This seminar will be offered at the following locations: Boulder Community Building, Feb. 23, 10 a.m.; Escalante High School, Feb. 23, noon; Tropic High School, Feb. 23, 2 p.m. and Panguitch Courtroom, Feb. 23, 4 p.m. |
