Show 'Weird' Find Probed by Officers Officials from the Army in San Francisco and Texas failed to identify the origin of a metal cannister which is labeled as having radioactive material, and which was discovered Friday af-tenroon in Salina Canyon near In-terstate-70. Sheriff Rex Huntsman said agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation are being called to further examine the cannister and other explosive items found together, about 200 feet south of I-70 near the Gooseberry exit. "We think that the bureau might be able to tie these items in with other unsolved cases," the sheriff said The metal cannister, measuring about 12 inches long and eight inches in diameter, was discovered by a Clearfield man who was hiking in the area Friday afternoon He saw the cannister and when he saw the label indicating it was radioactive material, came immediately to Sevier Valley Hospital where he was checked for possible radioactive contamination.
