Show Henrieville News Items MELBA D. SMITH Mr. and Mrs. Niel Mortensen of Ephraim are parents of a baby son born Oct. 10; grandparents are Mr, and Mrs. Irving Rose. Eldon Palmer of Hawthorne, Nevada brought daughter Ell-nore to attend Dixie College, and son John to SUSC, then spent a few days with his father in Cannonville and with relatives here. Marty Kleese spent a day In Salt Lake with his cousin George and uncle George Thompson of Cannonville. Friday the Kleese family had a visit from Elder Dyer they knew in the Cedar Rapids stake in Iowa and his parents from Phoenix. Thora Partner and Virginia Smith went to Cedar City on business with Violet Rae Hug hes. Marilyn Christensen of O-hio and Inez Wlnberg and husband Ivan of Sandy spent a couple days with Virginia Smith and other relatives. A get-together of old friends Ora and Rhoda Shafer, Leland and Berthene Griffin, the Harvey Moores of Las Vegas, Oscar and Jean Willis of Grand Canyon, and Preal and Rita Baldwin of Ogden was held at the Shafer home. Brad Griffin was at the Leland Griffin home, The Vernon Griffins of Escalante visited them on their way to the hospital to see brother Mont. Leland attended a 5-county meeting in Kanab Friday, and a commissioners meeting in Pangultch on Tuesday. Visiting Roxle Chynoweth and other relatives for the fu neral of Bruce Rose were Katie Morton and son, Roxanna Johnson and son, the Virgil Jolleys. Milton, Verland and Lonna, Max and Kathy Rose, Clifford and Collctte Matthews, Dan and Mildred Chidcster and family, Ken and Artolso Piatt and family were at the Dave Roses for the weekend and to attend he funeral, The Roses have three new grandsons, the Theron Ro- the Milton Ro-ses ses on Sept. 80, on Sept. 30, Ken and Ar-tolse Piatt on Oct. 1. Having birthdays this week are Keith Johnson, Patty and Kelvin Dutton, Champ Moore. Many friends and relatives were here for the funeral services at Tropic for Bruce Rose.
