Show NOTICE FOR SALE The U.S. Forest Service, Dixie Natinal Forest is offering for sale the following real pro-pcrty (Buildings): 1. Dave's Hollow Guard Station located approximately 2 miles south, up East Fork of Highway U-12. More specifically, the building is located In section 15, township 30 south, range 4 west, Salt Lake Base and Meridian. This is an old frame building with 4 rooms and bath and approximately 30' by 28 in size and has a concrete foundation. This bull-ding has deteriorated considerably and probably could not be moved. A complete cleanup job must be accomplished, including removal of the concrete foundation and filling in and leveling of the site. This building is on the Powell Ranger District, wilh Ranger's Office at Panguitch, Utah. 2. Upper Valley Guard Station, located approximately 4 miles from Utah Highway 12 and 17 miles from the town of Escalante. More specifically, the building is located in section 1, township 36 south, range 1 west, Salt Base and Meridian. This is a small 3 room wood frame building, approximately 25' by 25' in size, complete cleanup will be necessary after building is removed. This building is located on the Escalante Ranger District, with Ranger's Office at Escalante, Utah. 3. Widtsoe Administrative Site - South building. This building is of frame construction. Four rooms and approximately 39' by 28' in size. The location is 13 miles from the Junction of Highways U-22 and U-12 near Bryce Canyon and specifically in section 15, township 34 south, range 2 west, Salt Lake Base and Meridian. This building has a concrete foundation which must be removed and filled in as part of the project. Condition is considered fair to poor. This site is on the Circleville Ranger District, with Ranger's Office at Circleville, Utah. 4. Widtsoe Administrative Site - North Building. This building is of frame construction, four rooms and approximately 26 by 43' in size. The location is on the same lot as the South building described above. Condition is considered poor. This building also has a concrete foundation w h ic h must be removed as well as a complete cleanup job. 5. Widtsoe Administrative Site - Shed. This shed is of lumber construction, approximately 18' by 12' in size and in poor condition. It is located on the same lot as the South Building described above. Interested parties are encouraged to inspect each building before submitting a bid. A Forest Representative will be at the Widtsoe Site on February 28 to show prospective bidders the buildings. Successful bidder will have 90 calendar days from date of award to remove buildig(s) i and clean up site in an acceptable manner to the Forest Service contracting officer. Bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. MST on April 10, 1972. Questions regarding this sale should be made to Scott Turner, Administrative Officer, Dixie National Forest, Cedar City, Utah, telephone 586-6525, or the District Forest Ranger on the applicable ranger district. If no acceptable bids are received for any or all buildings, it Is the Intent of the United States Government (Forest Service) to remove andor destroy these buildings In the most economical manner under present existing laws and regulations. Award will be made on highest acceptable bid for any one or more of the buildings. The government reserves the right to reject all bids if unacceptable bids are received. Bids will be accepted at the Forest Supervisor's Office. 500 i South Main, Cedar City, Utah, until 2:00 p.m. local time, on April 10, 1972.
