Show Hotch Happening BY REVA LOWDER The Relief Society held a Christmas party last Tuesday. Refreshments were served by the officers and teachers. The Primary held a party in the hall Christmas eve. After the program Santa gave the children candy and toys. Speakers in meeting Sunday were Joyce Barney, Roma and Hal Wilcock. Fireside chat was held Sunday evening at the home of Bishop Ivor Riggs. The Bob Hendersons left Friday to spend part of the hoi-ldayh in Calif, with relatives. Grant and Hope Dalton, who are staying at Delta this winter, came home for Christmas. Cedar City visitors with them were Wayne and Pamela Stu-bbs, and Dennis, Barbara and Jennifer Dalton who also visited the LaMar Barneys. Curtis Wilson and Kenneth Barney are home for the holidays from BYU, Craig Barney from Logan. Visitors at the Jesse Wilson home for the holidays were Virginia Wilson of Salt Lake, the Russell Wilsons of Salina, the Karl Wilsons of Cedar. Mrs. Idonna Deuel, Rose Elaine and Val Dean went to Nel-lis AFB, Nevada on Friday and brought LaVor Deuel home for Christmas then took him back the first of the week. They had Christmas dinner with the Karl Lowders, along with the Ron Riggs of Pangultch, Mary Beth of SUSC, and the Vay Sawyers of Kanab who left Verene at the Lowders and Vaelyn at the Arnold Sawyers to visit for a few days. The Deuels left Monday for Mt. Pleasant to visit Hulda Spencer. The Max Burrows of Fredo-nla visited In town Sunday. The Orson Barnhursts left Thursday to spend Christmas in Las Vegas with their children. The Ray Burrows family of Sunnyvale, Calif, spent Christmas holidays with Effel Riggs, the James Burrows, Ireta's parents, the Lynn Evans, and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Delta Crofts and sons of Vernal, Deloy Evans of Las Vegas and Jolene Farnsworth of SUSC visited a few days at the Evans home. The Kay Browns and the Dunk Larsens of Orem and the Wallace Heaps of Cedar spent part of the holidays with Mrs. J. E. Riggs. Holiday visitors at the Doyle Hancocks were the Elroy Hancocks of St. George and Squire Mangum who came from the Rest home In Parowan. The Don L. Ipsons of Orem visited the Layton Barneys. The Vern Barneys of Richfield visited the Frank Barneys on Christmas. Visiting the Wiley Hunting-tons was Ben Nellson of Gran-per, they all went to Kanab for ChrUtnm dinner at the Low- ell Huntingtons and also visited the Allen Huntingtons. Mr. and Mrs Clyde R. Bybee and son Randy of Idaho and the Gary Don Mechams of Spanish Fork visited Christmas afternoon at the Oliver Huntingtons. The Huntingtons had Christmas dinner with the Pat Dlx family in Panguitch. The Brent Tureks and Jack Turek of Cedar spent part of the holidays at the E. F. Turek home. The Jay Duttons of Fredonla stopped Christmas morning at Marcie Dutton's and took her to Panguitch to have dinner at Hope Gouldings. The Kerry Carpenters of Cedar visited during the holidays with the Bill Ducketts. The Don Woodmancys of Logan arrived Christmas day to visit her folks, the David Sawyers, until Monday, May and David visited In Cedar Friday. The Darwin Shakespeare of Pangultch were Sunday visitors. Visitors at the Bob Evans home were Genlece Evans and HATCH (continued from front pace) Connie Kleese of Henrlevllle, the Edmund Hepworths of Or-dervUle. Saturday they had Christmas dinner In Cannon-vllle at the Irving Johnsons. Michael Evans returned to his base at Ft Bliss, Texas Mon-day, Kerry Sawyer accompan-led him to Texas to visit, The Garth Heaps had all of their children home Christmas day: Wallace and family, Jo-ann and Ronald Sawyer and children of Cedar, Don and family of Escalante who left that evening to visit Deanna's folks and Don will go to BYU for a week. The Mervin Barnhursts spent Christmas In Tropic with the Virgil Pollocks. The Sam Evans had Christmas dinner in Tropic with the John Mechams. Visiting the Evans were the K. Giffords of Sprlngdale and the Kirk Evans of Las Vegas. Friday, the Gale Wilcocks met the bus ill Cedar and got son Dayne who came home for Christmas from his job in Calif. Hal and Roma Wllcock of Pangultch visited them Sunday. |
