Show Henrieville News Items MEIJJA D. SMITH Marion Willis went to Provo last Tuesday for the Senior Citizens Dance. On Wednesday he went to Salt Lake City and attended the circus at the Salt Palace. He reports that he was really good. Monte and Velma Willis i ud two children of Randolph, visited Marlon last week, Hode and Ila Alvey of Escalante visited on Sunday at their daughters Thelma and Lee Smith and family. Mdba and JoAnn Smith spent Saturday in Pangultch visiting Mildred Deuel and attending the County Fair, Everyone is rejoicing over the lovely rain storms we have had recently. Randy, son of Karen and De-loy Dutton has been In the Pangultch Hospital since last Wednesday He is improving. Maude Reynolds of Richfield spent the weekend with AUene Piddle. Maudo b visited with all her aunts and cousins while here. Shanna Goulding reports It Is good to be home from school at BYU at Provo, where she spent the summer. The Dave Roses went to Salt Lake City last Wednesday and Thursday. Also taking in 1 the affairs at Lagoon before ' school starts. Several attended Stake Conference meetings in Escalante on Saturday and Sunday. Speakers In Sacrament meeting were Virginia Smith and Maggie Willis. Julie, Beverly and Machelle Willis sang. Those celebrating birthdays this week are Genice Evans, El-va Gouldlng Llston, Layton Moore, Lyllian and Lynn Sha-kespear and Harry Partner. The anniversary of Ellis and Arvella Johnson and of Fawn Gouldlng. Teora Willis went to Richfield to the funeral services of Mrs. Vlnnle Black, a grandmother of Christine Newby who stayed at the Willis home last summer. Teora's sister-in-law, Ruth Newby of Monroe, brought her home as their truck was still broke down. Christine and Rett Shake-spear and three children of Washington came Sunday to vi- I ' sit at the E. R. Shakespear and Layton Smith homes for a few days. Christine and children and JoAnn Smith spent Monday at Pangultch at Mildred Deuels. John, Katie and Bruce Morton of Kaysvllle visited Roxie Chynoweth and other relatives here after a trip to California, where they visited their missionary son Val and Bruce had played in the Kaysvllle band at Disneyland. |
