Al-veys to Panguitch for medical checkups. Hal and Geneal Shurtz and part of their family visited their kids in Cedar City; Vickl Nelson is doing her student teaching In the second grade and Kim has gone to Denver for some special training In the selling business. The Shurtzs went on to St. George for the Garfield Stake temple excursion, our town was well represented In that. The relatives of Doyle Reese Roundy, a former resident, got word of his death, they went to Salt Lake City for services. Lola Zenz and Virgina Dane left Walt here to look after things and went to Phoenix to. visit friends. In Sacrament meeting Sunday the North ward held conference with Stake officers s speakers, they were Bettv R. Alvey. Marlene Haws, Chase Shurtz, Malen Mecham, Lester Clark, Harry Partner and Bp. Dick and Dorene Schow brought Nellie Bailey home from north. Visitors at the Frank Imlay home were Lizzie Baugh of Henricville and Lucy Shakespear of Tropic, Amelia Smith and daughter Dorothy Davis of Pangultch. Alfred Chlono built a new fence around his property, it looks really neat; the Chlonos had a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Ira Ruston from Lake Wood, Calif. Lance Hatch was home for the weekend. The Sophomores put on a record hop. Coach Bart Palmer went to the class B basketball tournament. A fireside meeting was held in the Seminary building, some people came from BYU to explain the survival program, they had slides and a lecture.
