Show 1 . Open Letter of Appreciation to People of Garfield County Oh behalf of the Department of Community and Family Medicine, University of Utah, I am taking this opportunity to express appreciation for warm hospitality and cooperation extended to the medical students and staff who recent ly administered the Community Health Survey. The purpose of the survey was to find out something about the health status and attitudes of county residents, and extending out to Circleville. The Department has been meeting with the doctors serving this area, the County Com missioners, Mayors, and other interested citizens to see if by working together, ways might be found to improve and maintain an adequate health care system for Garfield and Kane Counties. The Community Health Survey is but a first step in the planning effort. The high rate of cooperation by persons contacted in the random sample Indicates very strong interest and support for health programs In this area. As soon as the tabulation is completed, we will report back to the community and discuss the results of the sur- vey. I would like to single out for special thanks the follow Ing Individuals who gave much time and effort in setting up appointments for the students and contributed greatly to the successful conduct of the survey: Mrs. Ray Englestead, Panguitch; Mrs. Chase Shurtz, Escalante; Mrs. Arnold Adair, Tropic; Mrs. Emeron Peterson, Boulder; Mrs. Hal Jensen, Antimony; Mrs. Kay Bowden, Circleville.
