Show Alburn S. Griffin Buried At Escalante , I Alburn Smith Griffin, 63, of Escalante died February 22, 1973, of natural causes in a Salt Lake City Hospital. Ho was born August 4, 1904, at Escalante to Earnest and Amanda Allen Rlggs Griffin. MarriedNaoma Schow, January 11, 1922, Manti Temple. She died July 7, 1957. Married Ro-sella Margaret Howell, August 21, 1958, at Bly, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa Temple. Mr, Griffin was a farmer and rancher. He was active in the L.D.S. Church acting as Sunday School Superintendent. He served a mission In Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Surviving him are his widow sons and daughters: Delane, Cecil and Gene all of Escalante; Mrs. Neldon (Floy) Mitchell, and Mrs. Mel (Vonnle) Rl-chlns both Murray: Lynn, Sandy: 36 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three step-children; Mrs. Eddie (Jen-eanne) Rogers Ketcham, Idaho; Mrs. Ronald (Saral) Harper, Magna; Wade, Orem; sisters, brother, Mrs. Usher (Eva) Spencer, Escalante;" Mrs. Courtney (Nellie) Spencer, Pocatello, Idaho; Ernest A., Miss Edith Griffin, both Murray. Funeral Services for Alburn S. Griffin were held at 2 p.m. Monday February 26, in tho Escalante South Ward Chapal, with Bishop DeLane Griffin officiating: Family prayer, Sylvan Graf; Prelude and Postlude by Louise Liston; Musical selection, "Invocation", Escalante Releif Society Chorus; Invocation, Quinn D. Griffin; Speaker, Orland Porter; Solo, "A-bide With Me", Doris Spencer; Speaker, Clyde Spencer; Guitar Duet, Gene and Lynn Griffin; Solo, Mike Griffin; Speaker, Lorenzo Spencer; Solo, "Oh, Home Beloved, Where'er I Wander", Usher Spencer; Speaker, Bishop Allrcd; Remarks, Bishop DeLane Grif, fin; Musical Selection, "Hold Thou My Hand", Escalante Relief Society Chorus; Benediction, Wayne Stinson.
