Show f " Henrieville News Items MELBA D. SMITH Two weeks ago Maggie and Boyd Henderson of Salt Lake visited at the Ora Shafer home. They brought Boyd's mother Alta Henderson home after a visit in Salt Lake with friends and relatives. Also spending the weekend with the Shafers were the David Milletts of Cedar City. Elmo and Iris Bushnell and Ruby Moore went to Salt Lake Thursday for medical appointment, Ruby stayed in the city for Thanksgiving with her family. Ken, Elsie and Dick Gould-ing were in Richfield Friday for medical appointments. The David Pollock family of Orem visited over the weekend with their parents, the Kenneth Go-udings and in Tropic. Steven and Kathy Gouldlng took Sheila back to Salt Lake to the Primary hospital for surgery Friday. We are getting snow again Sunday evening. Evon Mortensen and baby son of Taylorsviile. .spent the weekend at the. home of her parents, the Irving Roses. Bety Jensen of Provo visited her parents, the Herschel Partners,-for two weeks while her husband Dale was in California for some schooling. Word was received here by relatives that Dewey Willis broke his leg above the ankle when a scaffold fell with him while on his job. Kay and Laura Clark from Glen Canyon spent the weekend here. Speakers in Sacrament meeting representing the Stake high . council were Leland Haws of Boulder, Vernon Spencer of Escalante and Marion Clark of Cannonville. After meeting a Stake presidency and high council meeting was held at the chapel. Several MIA work-' era attended a Stake meeting at Tropic Sunday. Frankie Moore graduated from Primary and received the . Trail award and ordained to a deacon Sunday. Achievement awards for 1971 year were pre-. sented to Cal Chynoweth, Elroy Pinto, Edward and James W. - Smith, -Nolan Johnson, and Klin .Chynoweth who also received' a Trail award. Mary Lou Nellson and Kathy Gouldlng were released from Primary Sunday and Kathy received, a Service award. Lula Moore was sustained as 1st counselor in Primary. Joyce Warby and two children visited her mother Janet LeFevre for three days, then returned to Cedar City to get ready to move to Salt Lake, her husband Clint is now employed at KSL. Daughter Pauline Anderson and husband Len came early to have Thanksgiving dinner with her mother Janet and Ike LeFevre as they couldn't be here later. Katie Morton and son Val who has just returned from an LDS mission visited her mother Roxle Chynoweth and other relatives over the weekend. Having birthdays this week are Lula Moore, Thora Partner, Darnell Dutton, Eugene Qullter and Vee Smith. Conrad Johnson Is employed with the Earth Geology Scientist Inc at Cedar City, Conrad and Harry spent a day here at the Thorley Johnsons. The Tom Dugans came for their children Sue and Mike who have been staying here with the Johnsons the past two weeks; they are buying a restaurant in Calif, and will live there. Kent and Gladys Johnson came and got her mother Eda Quilter and took her to Hanks-vllle to stay until after Christ-mas. Minnie Smith Is still ill.
