Show No Priority Change Says Gov. Governor Calvin L. Rampton of Utah led the Democratic hopefuls who appeared at the recent Garfield County Democratic convention. Phil Hansen, Utah State Attorney General who Is seeking nomination to the U.S. Senate, was alo In the group Clive By bee of Tropic, who is seeking election to the Garfield County Commission, spoke at the convention. In his talk Governor Rampton declared that neither he nor Senator Moas are trying to change priorities on the building of roads to Lake Powell. According to the governor, they are merely interested In building temporary boat launching facilities at Warm Creek so the public would not be forced to launch at Wshweap and then go down a treacherous channel to the lake. He said as far as the State of Utah is concerned the road from Bull Frog to Hcje In the Rock into Escalante Is No. I priority but said he feels the public interest would be served bv a temnorarv launching facility at Warm Creek. |
