Show Seth Johnson Descendants Called To Family Reunion According to a letter received by the Garfield County News a reunion of descendants of Seth Johnson wtU be held at Ruby's Inn, near Bryce Canyon on Saturday and Sunday, July 18 and 14. The letter addresed to the Editor of the Garfield County News follows Sir: One of the early settlers of Southern Utah was my great grandfather, Seth Johnson. He was the son of Joel Mills Johnson, author of the words to "High On The Mountain Top". He was the father of 25 children Twenty of whom grew to maturity and had large families of their own. His children Included: Mary Julia i Wilson I, Seth Alvln. George Washington, Lydla An- nie (Wilson). Joel Hills, Slxtus. Ellis. Nephi. Seth Jr . Janet Matilda (Ott), Susan Sariah (Asay), Saraphine (Anderson), Thomas Smith, Emily Celeste (Campbell), Dora Stratton (Fletcher), Lydla Drucilla (Henderson). Lydla Ann (Jolly), Anthony Stratton, Mary Roselpha i Ingram). Parley Pratt and Samuel Smith If you are familiar with any of the above names you can see that they may be relatives. Because of the mobility of today's population many are also scattered all over the United States. We are holding a Seth Johnson family reunion at Ruby's Inn near Bryce Canyon on Saturday. July 13 and Sunday, July 14 Since It is almost lm- possible to keep an address list current. I am writing this letter to see if you will publicize this reunion as s public service to many of those in the area you serve who may want to attend the reunion. We plan on a geneology meeting, sports, progressive picnic, pesntit hunt, lollipop hunt, white elephant suction, quilt contest snd a dance on Saturday, July 13. On Sunday.
