Show J. Earl Aliens To Mark 50th The children of Mr. and Mrs. J. Earl Allen request the pleasure of your company at an open house honoring their parents in commemoration of their 50th wedding an ni versa ry Friday, Dec. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Seminary building. No gifts please. J. Earl Allen, son of John Butler and Levinah Wilson Allen, was born March 1, 1896. He attended school in Panguitch, being a member of the first class to graduate from the old Panguitch High School. Beulah C. Allen, daughter of Samuel Obed and Hannah Adelia Bunker Crosby, was born August 28, 1898. She went to school in Panguitch. Beaver, St. George, and BYU. She was in training at LDS Hospital during the winter of 1917-18, and Mr. Allen was a student at the U. The Aliens were married in the Salt Lake Temple before Earl entered the service dur ing World War I. After he was separated from the army, the Aliens made their home in Panguitch. Mr. Allen worked in school for 26 years and as manager of the Panguitch office, department of Employment Security for 20 years The Aliens were also engaged in farming and livestock busi ness. Mrs. Allen nursed influenza patients during the epidemic and has continued the nursing service. Before Panguitch had a hospital she took many patients into her home to care for them. Both have been active in church and civic affairs and served a number of local and area positions. The most recent was the filling of three six-month missions for the LDS Church. They were called once to the Central States mission and twice to Texas. This couple feels like their most worthwhile accomplishment is the rearing of six children, who are now married and have families and all are active in church, community and civic affairs. Earl and Beulah never miss an opportunity to expiess their justiful pride in their family, consisting of six children. 25 grandchildren and one great-grand child. They have two boys and a granddaughter, the same girl that made them grandparents caused five people to become great grandparents. Clem married Colleen Becbe of Circleville. They now live in Provo where Clem Is employed by the State Dept of Employment Security and Colleen works for a government agency on part time basis. They have five children. Cleo, a twin sister of Clem, and a graduate nurse, married Konroy Hcnrie. He is self-employed In ranching and livestock business. Cleo nurses at the Panguitch hospital They have four children. Rowa married James Lee. They live In Las Vegas where he Is office manager of a U.S. government agency. Rowa, a Sewing major, has taught Home Ec in schools of Utah and Nevada and is still teaching on part time basis They have six children. George married Sheila Carter of St. George They live in Helena, Montana where he is manager of J. C. Penney store They have four children. J. Whorton married Orel Kay Lee. They live In Logan where he is employed at the Utah State University as coun-celor and teacher. Orel Kay is a part time student at USU. They have four children. |
