Show ANTI-POVERTY CONFERENCE TO BE HELD William G. Bruhn. executive director. Governor's Office of Local Affairs, announced that a state-wide conference on anti-poverty programs would be held in Salt Lake on Nov. 20 and 21. The conference has , been called by Gov Rampton under the sponsorship of the Office of local Affairs This is the first conference of this type to be held in Utah," Mr. Bruhn said. "It is designed to bring together all the persons working In the anti-poverty agencies and organizations In Utah to discuss problems and ideas and to attempt to develop common goals, solutions and strategics in our attack on poverty." Personnel from the seven community action agencies, the Utah Migrant Council. Neighborhood Youth Corps, Family Planning, Foster Grand parents and other programs funded under the Economic Opportunity Act are expected to take part The conference will provide d scussion workshops built around programs and positions together with a full session on how to address the issues and problems on poverty. |
