Elda Haws got word they had her up for short periods in a wheel chair but of courae she is very weak. Elda's granddaughter Dawnie la atlll in the University hospital having problems. Lenora Griffin gets around a little wlt'u a crutch. Orllla Cowles L gradually improving under the watchful care of Dr. Kazan. Don and Ulliai Coleman and family went to Lund. Nevada and visited Ron and Del Whiting and family, then to Las Vegas and the Boulder Dam The Whitings sent re gards to friends here. We had dental appointments In Richfield Saturday. Clarice Griffin went out with us and met her sisters to go to Wayne County for a visit. Kate Porter and Alice Ann Lyman spent the week end in Richfield, others having business there were Ardis Christensen and part of her family, Ruth Lay and a granddaughter. Caroline Williams and kids, Usher and Eva Spencer, and Nancy Attwood. We talked briefly with Alice and Ervin Allen of Circleville, it seemed good, we miss those people since the stake was divided. We all Join Seminary teacher Robert Wells In being really proud of our young people ; he took a group to Cedar City Saturday for a District Seminary Tournament held at the Cedar City Institute of Relig-lon and out of the three events they entered they took three first places. They call these things a Scripture Chase and the participants have to really know their chapter and verse Members of the team were Karen Cottam, Jan Uston, Anna Lee Spencer, Naomi Johnson and Gagalfo Tufuga, they won over Fillmore 107 to 87. In the Individual competition Peggy Mounteer won over her opponent 31 to 8. Joseph John-ton won 23 to 17, these last two were In the Church History category. Vln and Larue Spencer had Danny and Lota and family here from Nevada. Those we heard of going to Panguitch were Deon Alvey, Barbara Moore, Dick and Jane Miller and ton, Sherrill D. and La-Fonda Mounteer. Jaleen Pollock took her kids to Cedar City for dental appointments, Dixie Mitchell accompanied her. Nell Barker is home from St. George and feeling better, she came with Minnie snd Bil-lie Davis who took the S. J. Alveys and Ritky Hawa down for the races. Numberless others went and a few were lucky; John Norman's Christine took a first place in six and one half furionga; Grant Listen's Pink Point a first in four snd one half furlongs; and the horse. Mr Garfield belonging to Blake Robinson and hit brother took first In three furlongs. Beth Robinson came home from her job in California for several dayt. In Sacrament meeting Sunday both wards met In the South ward chapel to hear Lynn Sdiow report his mission to Holland which he did very well. His mother, Evan bore her testimony and Bp. Morris Shirts talked A song. "My Testimony" was sung by Betty Alvey, Clorene Vidrlne and Louise Litton.
