Olaf Shakespear has employment with the oil well company out of Escalante. Lay-ton Smith and Harry Partner started work at Bryce Canyon on Monday. Lee and Thelma Smith and baby went to Escalante last Monday to visit at her parents home. Dave and Eda Qutlter spent a week with their daughter Gladys and Kent Johnson and family at Hanksville. They then spent three days with Verda and Willard Craig at Caatlegate. When they arrived home they received word they had taken Willard to Salt Lake to the hospital for medical attention. Roxie Chynoweth had a quilting last week. Layton and Melba Smith visited with Alta Rae McAllister last Wednesday at Pan-guitch. Sunday Alta Rae and Terri McAllister and friend visited at the Smith home. Rhoda Shafer and Berthene Griffin visited at Escalante one day last week. Evon Rose and roommate from Weber College spent the weekend at the home of her parents, the Irving Roses. Bern ice and Julia Goulding and Rose Sam visited overnight at Cedar City with Ber-nice's sister Jo Barney and family. Marlon Willis is home after under going surgery at the U-tah Valley Hospital at Provo He has been gone twelve days, we are happy he is well enough to be home again. Birthdays this week are Joanne Rose and Mary Chynoweth. Leland Griffin met at Pan-guitch last Tuesday with the State officials conducting the County School for a breakfast meeting Dewey Willis had a little accident last week when the ter-ester blade fell and mashed his big toe. Frank, Lula and Frankie Moore -met the Herb Stokers and Lawrence and Sade Rose at Thorley Pasture Sunday for a picnic, then the Stokers and Roses came on to Henrieville to visit with others in town Sunday Roxie Chynoweth had Jack and Mae Chynoweth and granddaughter Deanna Dixon and new baby girl to visit her. Also Evan and Judy Chynoweth and two children, they came to show their new daughter also. The program 'Prepare Ye. Prepare Ye For That Which Is To Come" is to be presented next Sunday by the Primary children. This will be held during Sacrament meeting and a special invitation is extended to everyone to come. Fawn Goulding visited in Provo with daughter and son-in-law Dora and Harold Mon-son. Also daughters Ruth and Mazie and children came from Sandy and Ogden to visit with her. Dora and Harold brought her home Sunday. Bunny Goulding was home for two days during the week. Harry Partner and Frank Moore went to Escalante Saturday to help clean ditches on the Stake Welfare Farm clean up day. Visitors at Sacrament meeting Sunday were Stake Presidency Chase Shurtz, Malen Media m. Reeves Baker and Stake ward clerk. The Stake Presidency were the speakers. Stake High Council meeting was held at the chapel in the afternoon. Stake Sunday School officers held their meeting at the home of Jan Goulding Sunday. Russel Dutton was ordained to the office of a Priest by his father Deloy Dutton. Elmo, Iris and Kim Buthnell and Dorothy Smith visited Sunday at Cedar City. Paul, Keela and Crystal Manum of Beaver visited during the week at the Bushnell home. Melba and JoAnn Smith spent Monday at Panguitch where JoAnn received medi-cal attention. |
