Show Hatch REV A LOWDER Ivor and Leonard Riggs took Mrs J. E. Riggs to Calif, last Tuesday to visit awhile; the Malen Mechams of Tropic accompanied them. Mrs. Riggs arrived there Just time to welcome a new grandson, born to Kay and Lela Brown, he has 3 brothers to help welcome him. The Frank Barneys received word Thursday of a new granddaughter born to Gordon and Gale Barney of Tooele, she has three brothers. The Norman Porters of Hurricane have a new baby girl, she has a brother to welcome her. The MIA officers and teachers entertained their partners Friday evening with a Christmas party at the Ivor Riggs home. The Dennis Payne family of Panguitch were visitors at Sacrament meeting Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Payne were the speakers. Special musical number was a piano solo by Laralne Barney. Visitors at the C. D. Campbell home were Mrs. Philip Robertson and children of Alton on Thursday, and Charley Cooper of Panguitch on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Turek left Wednesday for Omaha, Nebraska for a week's visit with relatives. Saturday the Vay Sawyers and the Arnold Sawyers visited in Richfield. The Garth Heaps visited in Cedar Thursday. D.U.P. meeting was held at the home of Maggie Barnhurst Thursday. Omega Campbell gave the Lesson. Quilting was enjoyed by the ladies. Refreshments were -served by hostess Ruth Wilson. Wanda Wilson had the misfortune of falling and breaking several of her ribs. Ramond Porter left last week for Ft. Douglas where he entered the Army. Quilting parties were held at the homes of Estella Riggs, Velma Huntington and Beryl Sawyer. Mr. and Mrs. David Sawyer and Kent went to Kanab Saturday on business. Visiting Marcie Dutton Saturday were the Jay Duttons of Kanab. Monday Marcie went to Cedar. City to stay with Mrs. Homer Dutton and' small son while Homer .undergoes an op. eration in the Cedar hospital. . The John Mechams of Tropic visited the Sam Evans' and other-relatives on Sunday. Lynn Evans and the Vay Sawyers went to Wayne Coun ty Thursday to get their trail-er houses as their work has shut down there! for the winter. Karl Lowder is home with his. family as his Job has stopped for the cold "months. Mrs. Layton "Barney and Mrs Calvin Wilson visited In Rich- 4 field Wednesday. The Ronald Sawyers of Cedar visited here Sunday. |
